Had a spa day from Groupon. Spa experience was good and relaxing. The afternoon tea was nice and good service. The only negative was we were supposed to get a glass of prosecco which we didn't and I didn't realise until we got home. Overall really enjoyed the experience.

This was my second time at Hall Garth, and I honestly can’t wait to return again. I absolutely love the setting—so peaceful and relaxing. The outdoor hot tub is a particular highlight for me; both times I’ve visited, I’ve had it all to myself, which made the experience feel even more special and serene. The food is fantastic! The Lebanese chicken platter was packed with flavour, and the afternoon teas were simply divine—perfectly presented and delicious. I also treated myself to some spa treatments, which were excellent. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Looking forward to my next visit and a bit more indulgence!

My mother and I attended Hall Garth Hotel for an afternoon tea as part of Mother's day treat. The food was absolutely delicious. The cheese scones were freshly baked and really fluffy. The desserts were divine, especially the square one that tasted of cinnamon. My only gripe is that there should be more selection of sandwiches. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely coma back again sometime.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at Hall Garth Hotel. The staff were really friendly and looked after us well. The only thing I would have asked for us a few more sandwiches.

Food excellent. The service was really good and quick .the staff very polite and helpful.

Expensive soa day as only hot tubs, no pool. Sauna that was barely warm. Food was ok, bit lacklustre. Had two salmon sandwiches whuch were fine and two with just lettuce and tomato, no filling?? I have food issues so asked for dietary requirements, but expected some meat filling in the sandwiches. Will not be going back.

Myself and my partner visited The George for Sunday lunch recently. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We have eaten here several times and the food has been delicious every time.

Spent 3 days for our 43rd wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. All staff were very friendly. Food was spot on. Loads of history around the place. Will definitely be back.

Food was excellent, service was good - but we didn’t get our meal in Oswald’s restaurant as booked. Instead, the food was served in the bar, which was almost empty, and so there was no atmosphere.

Went for a late Sunday lunch 3pm booked in advance. Restaurant/Bar was not over busy plenty of table choice. Sunday menu offered a few choices & standard Sunday lunch. Ordered Prawn cocktail and a roast beef dinner. Prawn marie sauce was bland and a little tasteless. Roast beef dinner saved the meal. Meat was succulent and cooked well. Yorkshire puddings were good. Gravy had plenty of taste and not like water. Service was good didn't wait too long for coarse. I would return for the Sunday roast, but give the starter a miss.

Only had starters as did not like choices on mains. Caeser salad was nice, prawn cocktail a little too spicy. Both overpriced for what they were. Also had afternoon tea as part of a spa package - nice but not something would opt for again. Too much sweet things and left the salmon sandwich as not something I like. Meringue collapsed trying to eat with a knife. The lounge area was nice but not somewhere we would return to.
