Absolutely delicious Sunday roast! I went with my husband on 5th November and we returned with his parents on 19th November and had the most amazing dinner on both occasions. Lovely little old pub with a great feel, nice character and beautiful food! Great portions and value for money. My only comment is that you don’t get asked if you’d like another drink very often, although our table was checked in terms of everything being ok with our meal. Also the carpark is pitch black now it’s winter and is quite dangerous when leaving in the dark. The lights were on when we arrived this Sunday but were out when we left so we had to use our phone torches to light the way.

We had Sunday Lunch at The Plough, both of us had roasts I had lamb and my husband beef. The food was delicious, mash, gorgeous crispy roast potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips, lovely yorkshire pudding, loads of meat, a big bowl of green veg and tasty gravy. The portion was large and everything on the plate was lovely, We would definitely eat here again and highly recommend.

Always a pleasant evening in The plough. The food is amazing, I would say it's my favourite restaurant to eat at if you want quality mouth watering food. Always a nice range of lagers on too. Lovely and local, we will always return as a treat!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. The food was lovely, the portions are huge and generous and I think well priced for what you get. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Lovely food and great service. In some parts of the restaurants it’s very cold. The tables need some re-arranging as very squashed and quite difficult to get past each table. It’s very difficult for your staff to get past as well.

The service was really excellent and the pre-ordered food arrived in a timely fashion. We also enjoyed eating it . The portions are generous.

Absolutely fantastic service, great price and our meals were amazing. Incredibly tasty and very hot. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Amazing food, great staff

Food portions were huge, and food was delicious. Service however was very slow - both taking our food order, and bringing our food. We waited an hour for our food. Their reason was because there was a big table requiring service same time as us.

Visit 23rd Sep 2023 We use to visit this venue a few years back and always had good food. Then new owners and it went down hill. Fortunately the newest owners have taken it back up the scale, the food was excellent and decent size portions. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning . Only criticism was lack of lighting on leaving the premises to the car park.

Excellent food and service. Staff could not be more polite or do enough for you. Definitely will return here when next in area.

Food was huge. We were told no veg comes with the roast so we ordered sides but realised there was veg that came with this and ended up having too much food leftover which was a bit wasteful. My friend had a huge chicken - half or bigger on the bone which was not specified on the menu. Overall, staff were polite and friendly but a shame about the wastefulness. I would have also liked for things to have been cooked for a bit longer e.g my beef. I wish we could have been refunded for the veg though.

Great food and well priced. The staff were very attentive and obviously enjoyed their job as they were always smiling and polite.
