The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyNot been to Ragley for a while, we took our son and his girlfriend for a meal. The welcome and service was excellent( even tho they were really busy). Food was really delicious, we had the superman mixed grill, new york burger, chicken fajitas and steak. All cooked to our liking, and didn't have to wait to long. Deserts were delicious also. Will definitely not leave it too long before returning.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyFoods amazing. It’s got a homely atmosphere.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyWe chose the steak offer meals which included a bottle of wine. The meal was very nice but I wish the choice of steak would be put back as I prefer the smaller sirloin steak rather than the 10oz rump.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyReally enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and pleasant helpful staff. Food excellent as usual and great choice of dishes. Will keep coming here as it never fails.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyQuality of food was very poor. Had a mixed grill which was over cooked, steak and ale pie with the filling being dry and over cooked and a children’s pizza which looked very similar to a well known microwave brand.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyPoor food quality! We had 3 rump steak a steak and ale pie and a kids 4 cheese pizza The stakes were over cooked and the cut of meat was poor it didn’t taste like rump steak. The steak and ale pie was a can of meat microwaved in a boil with a precooked puff pastry thing dumped on the top. The kids pizza was out of a box that I could have brought from any high street supermarket. The menu claimed home made steak and ale pie there was nothing home made about anything served. I’ve eaten at the Ragley boat stop for year and food has always been really good but on this occasion it was very poor you seem to have away from fresh well prepaid food to fast pre cooked rubbish
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyMy family and i have been eating at the Ragley Boat stop for many years and have always received great service and the food has always been good and excellent value. i know we are in difficult times but the cleanliness and procedures here are very good. We as a family will continue to eat here as much as possible. Carry on the good work Ragley staff.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyOrdered a mixed grill with a medium/rare steak. The steak was medium and the liver was overcooked and rock hard. The food had gone right down hill at the minute .
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyI have been eating at the Ragley for a number of years on Thursday for the last 5 weeks I have noticed that the quality and portion sizes have gone down the steak was over cooked the portions have got smaller
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbySo pleased we visited the Ragley Boat Stop would definitely visit again. The mixed grill was the best we’ve ever had.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyWell what can I say. First time out for a meal together this year and most certainly was not disappointed. The steak was amazing, cooked to perfection. I had a glass of wine, however was shocked at £5 a glass for a house wine, however was lovely and worth the money. Tables were set up so social distancing was in place and I felt the staff went above and beyond their jobs in this difficult time. Looking forward to returning.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyIt was my first time eating here & I won’t be back in any hurry. Portion sizes were so small, so if your hungry get a starter or sides with main. We couldn’t believe the size when they came. Mushrooms were absolutely awful, I haven’t been able to eat them since as it’s put me off. I had the minted lamb chops and there was hardly any meat at all, more like a kids portion. My partner had something like a mixed grill from the “king section” & there wasn’t a lot either, asked for steak medium rare & it was well done. Deserts were amazing. Service was quick but food came before drink so we had no time to talk over our drinks before the food came.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyAll bar staff were very pleasant and food was excellent,
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyVisited The Ragley Boat Stop for lunch with three other guests. All four had the special of 2 x 10oz Rumps and a bottle of wine for two [twice]. This was delicious, the steak was rare and well presented, the service was excellent, but to include a bottle of good tasting red wine between two was the topper as value for money. The resturant was a bit quiet since the "eat out to help out" had finished but we feel sure customers will return to this venue.
The Ragley Boat Stop – DerbyGreat food and service... Shame that the atmosphere has changed due to covid 19....
