Visited with my daughter for my birthday. Can never fault this place whenever we go. Food was served quickly after ordering on the app. Steak was ordered medium rare and was cooked perfectly. Under current covid conditions, staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for any of them.

Salmon was overcooked, dry, tasteless... Very small portions & all of it was cold.... Steak was rare we asked for medium... Half steak chewed was gristle, other half was left due to not being able to eat it. After complaining to management we were asked if we would like something else however by this time our appetite was well and truly lost.

Food cold and service very slow ..is there anyone in charge didn't seem to be..and app to order food and drinks is rubbish had to go to barb..

Visited for the first time in 5 years-was looking forward to an equally nice experience as before but was extremely disappointed-we arrived at the entrance to be faced with a lady sitting at a high table (presumably the booking-in table’) she was taking on her personal mobile-she lifted her eyes from the desk and looked at us standing there waiting and carried on chatting-her husband/partner came over (looking very scruffy and unshaven) and asked if we were being seen to to which I replied no-he looked for someone else to show us to our table but there was no one else about so he scrambled about for a couple of menus then realised we had children with us so went back to fetch appropriate menus then guided us upstairs to our table-we had another part of our family joining us and they had requested over the phone when she booked to be seated on a table close to us to which the booking person assured her she would be but when they arrived no one seemed to recall anything of the call and had placed them on the other side of the room-after a short discussion we managed to shuffle some tables around to accommodate-we went to the bar to order food which went well apart from them having NOTHING fruit oriented on the menu at all-my 11 year old daughter suffers from severe anxiety and emetophobia So won’t eat a meal at any pub/restaurant that we visit-she always eats at home beforehand but will have a small fruit salad or something similar instead but I checked the children’s menu for something in the pudding section that resembles a heathy option but much to my dismay all there was on offer was ice-cream so I decided to ask at the order point if they could russell up some kind of fruit salad for her-the lady serving was unsure so went over to ask the same lady who ‘didn’t’ greet as at reception-she looked up from what she was doing-looked over at me-looked back at the waitress and just said ‘no’ I was very much disappointed at this point-surely in the whole of this restaurant they have at least an apple or a banana or something-anyway needless to say she had to sit at the table watching while we all ate-all the food we ordered was ok ‘nothing spectacular’ but my husbands steak which he ordered to be cooked as ‘medium’ came practically still moo’ing-blood filled his plate and was clearly still very rare-we didn’t have time to reorder or send it back as I had to be at a night shift for 9pm-the young men how served our meals we also scruffy looking with long hair and all mumbled when they came to the table-we couldn’t understand what any of them was saying and one of them was serving our sauce to go with the steak and spilt it all over the table very nearly covering my dads arm-he didn’t even offer to fetch us another one-also the other part of the family that joined us orders a pizza starter that had been forgotten and he actually received it at the end of the meal when everyone was getting ready to leave-this business has clearly been taken over since my last visit and needless to say I will not be returning

Excellent meal, food cooked just how we requested it, nothing to much trouble excellent service.

We booked for lunch on Tuesday. The food was delicious, all the staff were really friendly & helpful & online booking was very easy. You can use the app or order at the bar & everything was well spaced out & organised. Beautiful setting too.

I’ve already written a review. I was VERY disappointed to see NO SOCIAL DISTANCING between tables and staff were NOT wearing visors especially serving staff. I had booked a table so I wasn’t “squeezed” in. I’ve been a VERY regular diner as both friends and my grandchildren like your place. Unfortunately I won’t be a regular again unless you start social distancing and wearing visors. Marks I’ve given are because of the above.

Good atmosphere very welcoming good that they have gone to a booking system makes things a lot easier, pleasant service, good value for money, staff friendly and helpful, Would recommend to others. had lost faith in Wragley Boat but had it restored last saturday please keep it up. Well done

We enjoy the The Ragley boat stop, the food is always good, but on Wednesday ,we tried the wine and steak offer for the first time ,one steak was average the other was poor, couldnt cut it let alone eat it, and because staff didnt clear the table there was no one to talk to.We dont complain ever, but that was poor, and really proves you get what you pay for on this occasion sadly.

went for our normal 2 steaks and a bottle of wine ,normally £18.99 but only £10 on eat out to help out,steak was tender and moist, chips nice and the house wine excellent as normal.cant fault it at normal price. but at ten pounds oustanding.

Had a superb meal at the Ragley Boat Stop. Last time i went in, the place was looking tired, so wasn't sure what to expect. This latest visit restored my faith in the Boat stop. It has had a revamp & the foood was fantastic. Well done.

There was no atmosphere at this restaurant and the food was tasteless it was our first visit and we won’t be going back

The Cottage Pie needs to be taken off the menu! It is barely “food”. I’m really not sure what it is made of but it is like dog food with “smash” mash on top. Definitely not what I expected for £6.75. This meal came with chips, peas and a grilled tomato which was not described on the menu. When ordering i asked for “extra veg” as part of healthy living and the server seemed confused asking “what kind of veg do you want”,I never received “extra veg”. The food was hot which was great! We had a fish pie which is always watery but tastes nice, Halloumi fries which tasted nice and were hot and cheesy garlic bread which was lovely and soft but there was far too much cheese! When the female server brought our food over she had very long pointy false nails which I thought were not professional at all, especially when serving the food. We arrived and were offered 3 tables. A man that seemed like the manager said that a certain table was a nice table so we agreed to sit there, he then went on to joke that “it is close to the bar”. We do not drink alcohol so it seemed unnecessary and we would of preferred to of been sat in a quieter part of the restaurant. We were sat right near the kitchen doors in what seemed like a family section of the restaurant. We were a couple eating that didn’t have our children with us on this occasion. We first came here together in 2013 as our first date. We used to come back at least once a month. We know come once a year because the food quality just seems to of dropped and it hasn’t really changed at all.

A while ago the Ragley had a fantastic reputation and if you hadn't booked a table then you wouldn't get in Then about 3 years ago the ownership changed and it went severely downhill. Food terrible and service worse. However, after I visited on Friday it felt like the old Ragley was back. Good food and service. Keep it going!

Great meal at a good price yet again. Social distancing, sanitizing process in place as well as track and trace. Staff is friendly and fast service. Thank you
