The Grouse Hotel – BuxtonWow what a gem, out in the sticks but well worth the effort to find. This is most definitely not 'pub grub' or 'gastro pub' this is exciting passionate food obviously made freshly from locally sourced ingredients, Jon and his team have a real flair for food and it shows. Cannot wait to go back, in fact they apparently do small intimate weddings and private functions, so I may hold a private dinner party their which would be great.
The Lighthouse Restaurant – AshbourneService has gone down hill visited today 7th January 2012 and waited 10 mins to be served at bar , left without being served

Mick & Trish’s Diner – DerbyBeen into Mick & Trishs Diner a few times now and the hospitality is fantastic. It seem to be family run and this really comes across with the customer care you receive. As for the food i had home made cottage pie and it was lovely, and also the all day breakfasts are real value for money a real belly warmer for these cold mornings.
Mick & Trish’s Diner – DerbyFantastic food and friendly staff, highly recommended.
The Market Place Restaurant – MatlockMy husband and I called in to The golden dragon on Sunday July 24th at 7-15pm. We found they did the a 6 course menu up until 7-30pm so decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very busy and although they apologised for the service it was just as quick as most restaurants. The meal consisted of chicken and sweetcorn soup, ribs, spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken wings and a choice of a main course and rice or chips. The last course was ice cream all for £8-50.Everything was well cooked and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We each had coffee and lager as extras and the bill was under £24 for the 2 of us. We will be returning for this early bird meal very soon.
The Golden Dragon – Buxtoni would thoroughly recommend the lotus lounge for a beautiful meal and very friendly staff
Lotus Lounge – AlfretonA party of 10 of us attended a birthday lunch and were impressed by the efficiency of the staff and the enormous portions of food. The milk shakes were greatly appreciated and our teenagers certainly enjoyed the massive sweets on offer. A totally enjoyable experience for those who want something a little different.
The 50s American Diner – Swadlincoteyou have really got to try this traditional pub.good range of beers including local real ales and of course good food and a warm welcome from the staff and customers.drinks and home made food at competitive prices with entertainment make this public house one of the best in the area.plus,if you require bed and breakfast accommodation or a venue for a function, then this is the place to be.

Praze Fine Foods – GlossopWe had a meal here a few weeks ago, from the main menu & Carvery. Lots of failure near raw carrot on Carvery to Lamb Steak tasting only of a very charcol tast. We did get in touch with the manager we were sent a voucher for maximum 50% of our meal & then had 3 working days within to use it.
Kings Highway – DerbyAfter a days walking in the Castleton area, We decided to call at the Nettle on our way home to Nottingham. For the starters, I ordered the pate whilst the better 'alf ordered the scallops. Both dishes were gorgeous, even down to the tasty home made bread and the red onion and herb infused butter. We chose Rib eye steaks for the main. Excellent !!!! The service by the waiter made you fell like you were the only people in the restaurant.... We will be making other detours to the Nettle again.... Thank you The Nettle.
