Loved our meal at Ravelston House. Staff there are so kind and attentive. Two little problems. The roast beef was a bit tough. We didn't complain, because it tasted very nice and we ate it all! Steak knives would have helped. My sister wanted a sherry, and there wasn't any. Probably people don't drink it these days. We got a port instead, but it was served with ice ...odd. Everything else was fine and we enjoyed our visit. Good value for money.

We booked a table for 8 staff were very efficient and service was great. Food was delicious too defo be back.

My 2 friends and I booked a table at 12pm on Thurs 6 April - we were the first diners who arrived in restaurant - and it was 12.45pm before we got our starter. We did notice that other diners who arrived after us were served before us! We did explain to a server that we were in a hurry and next 2 courses were a bit hurried. I do have to say the 3-course lunch was well worth it and very good value and was delicious. I am visiting the Ravelston in the next few weeks and hope the experience is more leisurely.

Went for lunch yesterday. Excellent food, large portions and super friendly dining room and bar staff. Very good value for money too. Will be back here again.

Had afternoon tea at the Ravelston, we arrived earlier than our booking time and were advised there would be a bit of a wait for food but we were happy to do so. We sat and had a coffee then by the time they were ready for us . Super friendly staff. Food was lovely, good selection of sandwiches and cakes Top class folks thanks.

Booked a family lunch for Mum's Birthday, No complaints we all enjoyed our food along with very friendly service . We be back again soon.

Very pleasant afternoon tea on Mother’s Day 19 March 2023

As always the Food was really delicious yesterday. I had the roast beef and it was so tender. Highly recommend the Biscoff cheesecake too! Even though it was busy staff were attentive and friendly.

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. They also catered for my unusual request of plate size. I am definitely going back.

As a regular diner I have found the staff polite and extremely pleasant. The quality of the food is excellent and reasonably priced. On my recent visit (Sat 12 March 2023) the normally peaceful atmosphere was interrupted by a rather noisy group celebrating a birthday. That apart, still had a pleasant evening. Would recommend the Ravelston Hotel.

Our party of four had a great night out, enjoying pre and post dinner drinks at the Ravelston House Hotel in Musselburgh, and dinner at the Furlongs Restaurant. We had scallops, tempura prawns, Japanese chicken and calamari for starters which were fresh, well cooked and delicious. For mains, we enjoyed cod, steak pie, scampi and Balmoral chicken. The presentation was excellent, our food was hot, tasty, freshly prepared. The meat was tender and the batter crispy. Portion size was just right with vegetables included. The Balmoral chicken was awesome: succulent breast stuffed with haggis served with vegetables, potatoes in a creamy sauce. It was a wonderful atmosphere and ambience and the staff were lovely too.
