Good honest pub grub although a bit pricey. Staff are great and so's the atmosphere. Although it can be a bit too quiet!

Stewartsbar & Grill – EdinburghSumptuous food in very pleasant surroundings (ask for a booth). The fish dishes are superb (crispy monkfish in red curry sauce in particular) as are the banquets which cannot fail to please. Vegetarians may be less happy in this restaurant but for meat eaters its a delight. Not precisely authentic but who cares, with flavours like this you are not missing out
Thai Lemongrass – EdinburghAlways a very good experience dining here. I have never been disappointed with the high standard of Italian cuisine.
Giulianos – Edinburghtraditional scottish dining in a relaxed atmosphere with no affectation. Brilliant for meat eaters with a wide variety of dishes, limited for vegetarians. Well worth a few visits
Doric Tavern The – EdinburghThe furnishings and restaurant are simple but pleasant. The food is very good - though I hate the use of food colour in Pilau rice. The service was outstanding and the staff pleasant, friendly and courteous. Shall certainly eat there again.
Bay Of Bengal – EdinburghWe had dinner at 8 pm and we stayed until 230 in the morning dancing and having a few mojitos ... We had a good time!!!
Garibaldis – EdinburghA fantastic evening with gorgeous food. Highly recommended.
The Vaults – EdinburghHave eaten at Sabor on a few occasions and every time is superb! If you want a relaxed / romantic setting (candles) which is intimate and cosy then this is for you! The food is well presented and tasty and the service is good being only a small place you are easily remembered. The menu does a good selection of dishes and is really well priced. The wine is very reasonable for the location as well. Highly recomended
Sabor – EdinburghVery, very busy place, food quality could not be faulted. Steaks are superb.
Mussels Steak Bar – EdinburghThe is old institution in Edinburgh. I personally rate it, it's never busy, but it? clean & well run!
The Magnum Bar & Restaurant – EdinburghThis is a great little place, not overpriced, & you can take your own wine!! They do have a licence too, so I buy a pint of Indian Beer!! Don? let them sit you downstairs!! Go for a drink after at Orocco Pier/
Queens Spice – EdinburghEven if you don? want to eat, this is an old banking hall, and to just sit in this place is amazing !!
The Dome – EdinburghThe is old institution in Edinburgh. I personally rate it, it's never busy, but it? clean & well run!
The Magnum Bar & Restaurant – Edinburghgreat takeaway! - comes fresh/quickly and in microwavable dishes. Best Aromatic Duck and Lemon Chicken tastes better/different than usual 'lemon curd' style which is typical elsewhere
China Palace The – EdinburghGood home cooked pub grub, served by friendly bar staff. Prices good and portions too. No complaints whatsoever. For a light bite or something bigger worth a visit. (nice garden and inside surroundings as well.)

Stewartsbar & Grill – EdinburghHaving read two very favourable reviews recently, one in the Metro and the other in the Glasgow Herald we decided to venture off to The Kitchin and test the food for ourselves. It was a lovely, mid week summer evening and as we parked the car in the large car park by the restaurant we could see a few tables outside with guests enjoying a drink. We sat at one of the remaining tables and were quickly welcomed by a very pleasant waitress who took our drinks order and asked if we were dining. The menu looked excellent I chose hand dived scallops followed by lamb, my wife had Tartare of mackerel with quail egg and Crispy fillets of red mullet with fine ratatouille of vegetables and we both had to confess the flavour and presentation of everything surpassed anything we have experiences anywhere in Europe including several 3 Michelin star restaurants. This is a real chef's kitchen, fantastic food, superb atmosphere and delightful yet very professional service. Edinburgh is the richer for this addition and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending 'the kitchin' to anyone.
The Kitchin – EdinburghWent to Cafe Rouge whilst in Edinburgh on a friends hen party and have to say - it was excellent! The food was great (I definitely recommend the lamb), the service was excellent & the French ambience was spot on. It's also in a great location just off George Street.
Cafe Rouge – Edinburgh2 courses for £16. Available Monday to Friday until 7pm.
