Lovely as always

Lovely roast dinner on a Sunday; always tasty and a pleasant atmosphere in which to dine.

We love the Barn Cafe, I have recommended it to several people. The food and service are excellent. It would be nice to see a wider menu in the future. Wishing the Barn family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Had a lovely lunch with a friend. Food was delicious as usual. Freshly cooked. Love the friendly atmosphere. The gift shop is worth a visit. Well stocked with lovely gifts and clothes. The Christmas shop is stunning.

Food was lovely. We sat outside the main restaurant in a pretty setting but it was freezing. We did ask if the heating was on and was told yes. I guess any beating was lost in the massive garden centre which was also very cold. When we went inside to pay our bill it was warm as toast.

Excellent food, freshly cooked, Sunday roast beef very tender, just wish gravy was served separately, rather too much for my liking. Staff welcoming and pleasant.

The setting is pretty. This would be a good cafe for a coffee only. Not for a dinner. It is over priced and bad food. Service is really slow. Ordered drinks and a meal. The drinks came out with the meal 45 minutes later even after reminding staff. I have given a four for atmosphere as you still need to wear your coat inside the restaurant. Staff were polite.

had a lovely Sunday breakfast for a large group, menu orders were arranged prior to arrival. Only drinks need to be ordered when we arrived. The food was delicious, high quality ingredients. Staff were very friendly as always. Never had a bad meal or experience here

Stumbled upon this place on a day trip to Southend & was enticed by menu! It didn't disappoint. The place was packed.... on a Sunday which is a great sign. Food took a little while but when it did arrive we were really happy as it was fresh & tasted delicious. Staff were all really great. Restaurant & toilets very clean. Would def recommend

We always suggest the barn when going out for somewhere to eat, it never fails to disappoint!! The breakfast here is amazing, and it doesn’t matter what you pick, it’s all good fresh food!

What an absolutely brilliant independent neighbourhood restaurant. I'm not a vegan - I'm an omnivore. But I often choose Stoked over other offerings locally - not because I'm consciously thinking about not eating meat that day, but because the food is great, the beer is great, the music is great and the staff are great. Love it.
