First visit for breakfast, lovely fresh cooked food. Good service definitely going back to try Sunday lunch

Took relations for the first time having been there myself before. Wasn’t disappointed and they were very impressed. Two of us enjoyed the warm scotch eggs with fennel salad. Love the new bench cushioned seating inside.

We love this place, the food is great, the atmosphere is perfect, and the price is just right. The staff couldn't be any more helpful if they tried. We love going there be it for a meal or just a milkshake to go. Oh... and their takeaways.... Don't even think of going anywhere else!

I’m not on for reviews, but we went here for my my other half’s birthday because a few friends mentioned it was new and food looked nice. Unfortunately our experience was Awful. We waited 20 minutes for a drink and 50 minutes to get asked what we wanted to eat(after being asked twice if we were eating) Nothing special about this place, we ended up leaving and going Siennas in Shenfield. 1000x different experience and more reasonable. They apologised and gave us the drink we Drank, on the house but it’s not worth the money, dirty front windows, no ambiance (candle /music / nice lighting), the chairs were uncomfortable and didn’t feel luxury at all, the menu had spelling errors, at first glance we weren’t sure if it was even the full menu as had about 3 meat and 3 fish options but had “sharing platters” written at the top. Asked if I could have a drinks menu , they went back twice and then I ended up saying I’ll just have a lemonade as no one could make the cocktails and they still didn’t give me a wine list. Appreciate its new and clearly needs to sit and try other venues of the price range but there were 3 standing around the bar . They said they only had 2 staff but with only 3 table to cater, I can’t see why 2 staff isn’t enough. After getting a taxi there from Brentwood, and then getting one back to Shenfield I was hugely disappointed. Hopefully they see & use this feedback and make their experience a lot better.

After so many months of no treats visited the Barn cafe for breakfast on July 22nd with my daughter and 1year old granddaughter. The staff were so welcoming , friendly and helpful and the food was superb. I had a barn breakfast , my daughter had a veggie breakfast and , after ordering an extra portion of beans for my granddaughter, they offered the choice of a small portion of beans on toast, which my granddaughter loved. Altogether a lovely experience.

The food was delicious (Buddha bowl with hot salmon) but the service was very slow. We were seated and hour and a half and only had a main course. Our plates were not cleared and we were going to have a dessert but was not asked in that time so left

Food was delicious and good value for money although we did have to remind the server about our drinks order before receiving them. The server didn’t seem very happy, I got the impression she was a bit stressed. This has been the case a few times since being able to come back here. I do adore the shop after too!! I want everything in there.

Excellent food with a very interesting menu. It was always good to eat there and now we're allowed back it's even better. The newly refurbished restaurant is very pleasant, much more roomy than before and furnished very well. Service was exceptional.
