The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterThis place is a hidden gem. A friend mentioned it last year and we have been several times since. We booked for lunch (recommended) and it was extremely busy but the staff were efficient, cheerful and friendly. We enjoyed a cup of tea while waiting for our meal which was well worth the wait. We had mushroom omelette and a bowl of chips. The side salad had a delicious lemony dressing which I hoped I could buy but unfortunately not, the chef made it. I notice they were advertising for a chef and waiting staff. Well, all I can say is if they operate this efficiently whilst short of staff - they all deserve a round of applause. We'll be back soon.

A little chilly where we sat outside the main cafe but all in all excellent service for us. Food rather pricey for what you get but enjoyable to eat.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterThe staff are fantastically friendly, helpful and of a happy disposition. The sandwich I had was delicious; far more than bread with a filling. Gourmet style , with a delicious salad included. I cannot remember having such a delightful sandwich before.
