Fabulous service, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Great food - I think we all had to roll to the car afterwards.

Yet another fab meal at the barn. Today I had the roast beef and it came out very hot not just warm. Everything on my plate was cooked perfectly. This is my 3rd visit and everti.e the food has been delicious. The staff are all lovely and friendly and service is good.

Sunday lunch was excellent and we enjoyed the whole experience. The quality and cooking was superb, the service was excellent, professional and attentive. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was very pleasant and easy. We will certainly be returning for a repeat experience, one of the best Sunday lunches we have had.

What a lovely meal ,6 of us went in there very unsure but came out wanting to go back. Jasmine and Cerease served us very polite upbeat and kept us informed if there was any issues. Hope to see you again soon

I attended the Live DJ event on Friday. Food was fantastic. The Chef's cooking was a divine experience. The library is a cozy place with great ambience. Welcoming crew. Fair pricing. Although, more experienced staff members at the bar /mixing drinks would make a big change. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself . Will visit again!!

Grumpys are exactly what they are trying to be, a great American style diner. Food is what you want and expect from a diner but at a great price to boot. My children love the shakes and burgers. Great value for money and great atmosphere

Took relations for the first time having been there myself before. Wasn’t disappointed and they were very impressed. Two of us enjoyed the warm scotch eggs with fennel salad. Love the new bench cushioned seating inside.

We love this place, the food is great, the atmosphere is perfect, and the price is just right. The staff couldn't be any more helpful if they tried. We love going there be it for a meal or just a milkshake to go. Oh... and their takeaways.... Don't even think of going anywhere else!

I’m not on for reviews, but we went here for my my other half’s birthday because a few friends mentioned it was new and food looked nice. Unfortunately our experience was Awful. We waited 20 minutes for a drink and 50 minutes to get asked what we wanted to eat(after being asked twice if we were eating) Nothing special about this place, we ended up leaving and going Siennas in Shenfield. 1000x different experience and more reasonable. They apologised and gave us the drink we Drank, on the house but it’s not worth the money, dirty front windows, no ambiance (candle /music / nice lighting), the chairs were uncomfortable and didn’t feel luxury at all, the menu had spelling errors, at first glance we weren’t sure if it was even the full menu as had about 3 meat and 3 fish options but had “sharing platters” written at the top. Asked if I could have a drinks menu , they went back twice and then I ended up saying I’ll just have a lemonade as no one could make the cocktails and they still didn’t give me a wine list. Appreciate its new and clearly needs to sit and try other venues of the price range but there were 3 standing around the bar . They said they only had 2 staff but with only 3 table to cater, I can’t see why 2 staff isn’t enough. After getting a taxi there from Brentwood, and then getting one back to Shenfield I was hugely disappointed. Hopefully they see & use this feedback and make their experience a lot better.
