A lovley pub where the food and service are excellent. Friendly, welcoming staff who go out of their way to ensure you have a good dining experience. The roast dinner tastes home cooked and the seafood grill will not disappoint seafood lovers.

Lovely sunday roast with friend, one of whom had fish & chips which is always exceptional at The Dukes. The roasts were super tasty and the service couldnt be faulted.

I had booked a table for 14 family members . The food was OK but not very hot. 2 meals arrived but the other 12 diners had a bit of a wait to receive their meals. The service personnel were pleasant and efficient in dealing with requests.

The quality of the food was fantastic. The toast wasn’t delivered with breakfast, when rectified the incorrect types of bread were provided and the staff member made us feel like it was our fault and a massive inconvenience to them. I have visited several times and every time there seems to be a fundamental issue with how long drinks take. We waited over 25mins for 4 drinks. Previously I have received my food order before my drink order. Please rectify this issue because it would make such a difference.

Lovey staff, very accommodating. Menu could do with some simple dishes -jacket potatos would be great! I had the beef brisket and the beef was so tender and the dressing was really well. Coffee was rich and deep. My grandmother just had a bowl of chips, due to diet restrictions, they looked lovely a crispy.

Love this place. Today was very busy as usual. Had couple hiccups at breakfast. Asked for no spinach but was on plate. Server had it removed. Was asked if I would like ice and lemon for water. It didnt arrive. Apart from that good was yummy

A nice venue with a pleasant atmosphere, had an enjoyable breakfast with family. Food was good other than the bacon sandwich which was disappointing as the quality of bread was poor. The coffees were not hot enough, warm at best. Prices quite expensive for what is in reality a garden centre cafe.

Excellent service as usual. Lovely surroundings and good portions and selection of food, from a main meal to just a cake and coffee. We use this on a regular basis as always clean and staff friendly. Suggest you book as gets very busy!

Staff polite & helpful . Good hot & good quality . Although Limited vegetarian options Another large group came in at lunchtime & sat on next tables - extremely noisy & difficult to hear our conversation .

Lovely pub with good food and a great relaxed atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal here for Daughters 8th Birthday. Family of 6, including children. One with server special educational needs. Staff were amazing. Brilliant service.

Came here for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Good size portion and very tasty. Will be back again soon.

Food was lovely and such nice seating area inside,however I do think that the food was a little overpriced as I got the Asian summer salad for 17.95 and wasn’t a big portion at all but overall a lovely place for brunch or lunch.

Excellent breakfast catch-up with a friend. The sourdough toast with blackcurrant jam was as delicious as ever, and this time, instead of 2 slices of toast each on a plate, we each had our own toast rack with 3 slices of sourdough toast! Always a warm, friendly welcome and a pleasant, clean and relaxing environment. That's why we return regularly.

We stopped for a quick lunch before our flight from Stansted. Dishes were all hot and tasty and clean plates were all that was left!
