We had an excellent meal with friendly and knowledgeable service. The wine and beer were first class and the whole experience was very good value for money. Will come again.

We visit the White Lion on a regular basis and have been going for many years,on the last 2 occasions we have visited on a sunday,on each occasion we have asked for the gravy on the sunday roast to be in a seperate jug,this hasnt happened and the meal ends up swimming in gravy,sad that this happened on two different visits,i advised the manager on site and he apologised,i think we will give it a miss for a while

Went for lunch with a few old school friends. We sat outside as it was a lovely day. We only had something light as we are getting on a bit but thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was pleasent. Will be coming again.

Fantastic place to eat, food gorgeous and nicely presented, staff great, also they serve small plates on some dishes too.

Dinner for four in the lovely Italian restaurant. Couldn’t fault it - superb service from start to finish. Excellent food - my compliments to the chef. A great experience.

Went to the Carriers to celebrate a family birthday about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. Last night was a major disappointment. The menu was ordinary and with very little choice for the vegetarians in our party this time (unless happy with veggie burger or hot dog). Portions had shrunk and the impression was of ‘ping and ding’ food which no chef had a hand in. We expected more from the Carriers, especially at the prices charged.

Food bland, pricey for the quality of the food, food menu made it look and sound more nicer than what got served. Very dry and tasteless.

Lovely food and service. Nice surroundings to eat in. Will return.

Came for a lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was really delicious, especially the beef pie. Some gins we were interested in had run out due to the gin festival but the staff were really helpful finding alternatives. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Top marks!!

We had a great meal on Saturday night at the Tigers Head, our local pub. We all had different items from the menu and all meals were of high quality. All the dishes were served piping hot which was exactly how they should be ! The service from the staff was very good and our drinks were replenished at the table without having to go the bar. The draught Weetwood bitter was particularly good. All in all well done to the Tigers Head. It is great to have our local pub delivering quality meals again.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here, lovely service and in a lovely spot. Plenty of choice on the menu with lots of choice for coeliacs in particular which was a great treat for myself.

We visited on bank holiday evening. Restaurant was quiet, but nice atmosphere. Lovely food. Good service.

Nice meal but not outstanding, chicken was a bit bland so had to add lots of seasoning. Had a great night though with the quiz and the staff were great. Would definitely come again if in the area.
