We visit the White Lion on a regular basis and have been going for many years,on the last 2 occasions we have visited on a sunday,on each occasion we have asked for the gravy on the sunday roast to be in a seperate jug,this hasnt happened and the meal ends up swimming in gravy,sad that this happened on two different visits,i advised the manager on site and he apologised,i think we will give it a miss for a while

The Tigers Head Country Pub and Dining – FrodshamWent to the Carriers to celebrate a family birthday about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. Last night was a major disappointment. The menu was ordinary and with very little choice for the vegetarians in our party this time (unless happy with veggie burger or hot dog). Portions had shrunk and the impression was of ‘ping and ding’ food which no chef had a hand in. We expected more from the Carriers, especially at the prices charged.

The Carriers Inn – FrodshamCame for a lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was really delicious, especially the beef pie. Some gins we were interested in had run out due to the gin festival but the staff were really helpful finding alternatives. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Top marks!!
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamWe had a great meal on Saturday night at the Tigers Head, our local pub. We all had different items from the menu and all meals were of high quality. All the dishes were served piping hot which was exactly how they should be ! The service from the staff was very good and our drinks were replenished at the table without having to go the bar. The draught Weetwood bitter was particularly good. All in all well done to the Tigers Head. It is great to have our local pub delivering quality meals again.
