Visited for a Xmas meal with friends 16-12-23 food was nice but seeing so close to Christmas there wasn’t an atmosphere In the pub we last visited 30 th June 23 to celebrate my husbands 50 th & it was alot more better atmosphere so that was a disappointment

Had a lovely Xmas lunch yesterday. Super setting overlooking the Mere, in the warmth of the dining area. Good portions, and presented well. Only let down was the 2-course Xmas lunch price of £22.95 did not appear on the receipt. Each course was itemised separately and charged accordingly. Perhaps something to be identified at the till. Apart from that, lovely relaxed lunch. Shall be back in the summer, with the dig, so we can sit in the garden.

What a fantastic time we had at The Carriers Arms. Lovely fresh hot food and good size portions, brilliant staff members who give you very warm welcome as soon as you open the door. We visited for a Sunday lunch, the pub was very busy but did not affect the service. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area, I would book if going for the Sunday lunch. Five star from us.

Really good Sunday roast, generous helpings and enjoyed the real ale.

Average pub food

Friendly staff on arrival, place very clean. Food was excellent, good choice and cooked very well. Only issue we had was that dogs were allowed in the dining area where we were. Understand that this is the case in mose pubs now but our preference would be to have them in a seperate area. That is just our personal preference not a critisism. Enjoyed the food and we would rebook.

Cozy country pub with great views over the lake. The food is always amazing and the staff are kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Not much choice as I’m dairy and gluten free tho they did have an allergy book. Ended up with the only food I could eat gammon steak chips etc which I’ve got to say was very good and well cooked. And I was able to have soya caramel ice cream too.

What a lovely place. Very welcoming of us and our dog on a wet evening. Service was good, lovely staff. Food delicious and tasty. Highly recommended

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Roast spectacular with lots of meat and fresh vegetables. Great menu choice for the whole family. Food, Service from the staff & Ambience fabulous. Always have a very warm welcome from Joanne & Staff. Highly recommend

Lovely food and lovely service such a nice cosy place right near Delamere Forrest. We had the Sunday roast and it was gorgeous, generous portions and really tasty. Would definitely visit again.

If you’re looking for a nice cosy place to go with your dog, with warm service and delicious food, then this is your place to go! Had a fantastic meal and staff were really friendly! Highly recommend :)

First time we have had a chance to visit here in a few years. Food and service was still great, friendly staff and the food appeared quickly but still seemed to be cooked fresh. . Generous portions and reasonably priced.

I organised a walk in Delamere Forest, based on the Carriers Inn. The welcome our walking group recieved when booking, the service we got on the day, and the quality of the food we all chose, was the best wehave had over many walks from other North West hostelries. Lovely setting with a massive garden area next to the lake. 3 of us visited and all had the Sunday roast which was delicious - generous portion (especially gravy!) and the service was excellent.
