Solito Posto – LythamGood food, excellent service and great beer, what more could you ask
Royal Oak Hotel – GarstangVery expensive for a bottomless brunch that was also unlimited food. 2 plates each and 4 drinks each, worked out really expensive. Food was lovely and so was the place, 2 girls serving the whole bar and doing bottomless brunches was too much they were ran off their feet. Needed some music was very quiet.
Fifty Four – Lytham St. AnnesVisited in the evening for a Sunday lunch. Service was good and staff friendly and helpful. We had booked and were allocated the table at the door of the dining room leaving us sitting in the middle of the room and doorway which was unpleasant. There were plenty of unbooked tables so we moved ourselves to a more discreet and comfortable table. Food was served in a timely manner and portions were large but let down by roasties which were rock hard and burnt and broccoli that was raw which was disappointing. To be fair they exchanged some potatoes when asked. Think we were unlucky as the food is normally spot on.
Royal Oak Hotel – GarstangThe pasta from here is amazing, this is my third visit and I would definitely visit again. The staff are friendly and the pasta recipe with the biscuit finish is such a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.
Farina 2.0 – LythamFab cafe, had some great food. Caesar salads and hummus wrap... Lovely coffee and a great milkshake! Wasn't rushed at all! Will definitely go back
The Courtyard – LythamShould have been a clue when the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. Initial waitress seemed new. Had to come back for the drinks order - 3 only! Then got it wrong. The food when it arrived was cold. After seeing photos on FB and their website I was expecting better things. The brisket was chopped up like it was being served to a child. The ribs fell off the bone but were dry. As for the burgers - what were they Birds Eye frozen? Certainly not made in site. I didn’t even attempt the wings as they even looked dried up The quarter piece of corn was again cold and dried up. It was a case of let’s pay and go. Only when clearing up did a waitress ask how the food was. I think my face was a clue Don’t believe the photos as obviously not what you get
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamThis is relatively local, in the main things were fine however the issues were no soap in toilets from 5pm , one of the toilets had no lock at all Food was average, nann breads not great and few dishes overly spicy when supposed to be mild. 2 dishes were missed from our order which were for the children. Nice enough staff and table service, but very warm given the weather so some fans or open doors would help. Over all I think it lacks attention to detail.
