Sadly after such a long wait due to lockdown, our visit to Pipers was very disappointing, and not at all up to the usual standard. The menu was very limited, my starter was billed as ‘Moroccan mushrooms ‘with cheese. I counted approximately 3 small mushrooms drowning in sea of chickpeas! The sea-bass main was over cooked and tasteless, not even the potato and tomato sauce could rescue the flavour! My husband s duck breast was tough and the sauce also lacked any taste. This was such a shock as the food has previously been excellent, full of flavour. I was beginning to think that it was a different chef. Not impressed ,as it is not a cheap restaurant. The best thing we had on the night were the drinks.
