My first visit for a lunch meeting, lovely restaurant in a great location. Really nice friendly staff, great food and drink. I will definitely return here.

Visited the Masons Arms for dinner. Family were visiting from France and were delighted to eat and drink in a proper English pub which they miss so much. We received a warm and friendly welcome. Menu was excellent, great range of food to chose from. Brother in law well impressed with his beer. We all loved our meals, well cooked and presented, quality ingredients. Thank you , we will be back.

Amazing food and lovely place

We all had a lovely evening at this restaurant Starters were fantastic we had mozzarella dish which I highly recommend. Prawns were also amazing Our mains were fantastic except the carbonara was sadly to salty and very un enjoyable the waitress could see we didn't eat it and never asked Apart from this dish everything else was spot on

Went to the Miners for the first time and we really enjoyed the meal, service and atmosphere. Would recommend- had a very nice Sunday lunch and lots of other choices

We were blown away by the quality of the food and the professionalism and courtesy of the service. I've been recommending The Masons Arms to everyone I've spoken to today. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making my 60th birthday so special.

Wonderful atmosphere - beautiful food and the service was great. Had the bottomless brunch and we were kept well topped up with very nice prosecco. Will definitely return

Visited Miners last week for a superb lunchtime meal. Very friendly staff and food was amazing too!.Ploughman's lunch and pork were excellent courses as well as the devine desserts and all served in a great venue. Well worth visiting if you are in the Forest of Dean area.

We attended Sunday 5th March 2023. We had the roast beef, it was absolutely delicious. A good choice of vegetables as well, also a good sized gravy boat. We had the sticky toffee pudding which was very nice, but I would love to see a creme caramel or creme brulee on the dessert menu. The young waiting staff were very good, polite, well done. Would recommend highly.

My partner likes to eat in pubs rather than restaurants because he likes a beer with our meal. The Miners had run out of beer! Worse they had no bottles either. The menu is very limited so I picked goats cheese from the starter menu but then they had no bread. I changed to pate which came with brioche. No chance of a side salad either. It was very good and my partners belly pork was excellent. The pub was nearly empty but the service was rather lacklustre. I do not think we will come again.

Very disappointing…… Booked table for food for 5 people at 8pm on Saturday. Arrived at 7pm, sat at our table with drinks, not till we went to order our food at 8pm did we get told that no food available. Nothing had been said before then. Then had to wonder around town trying to find somewhere to eat. Very embarrassing has had people visiting and meant to have been a nice night out.

Fabulous meal again as usual, service excellent and an amazing atmosphere. Steak was amazing and a party of 11 all with empty plates and very happy Will be returning very soon Sorprendente!!!!!!
