We live locally but this was our first visit to the restaurant. It was a Saturday night, our table was at 8.15pm, we had friends join us from Cardiff for the meal. All of us felt the food was very good, only dropped to 4 stars because the steaks could have been better. That said very enjoyable food, all starters very good (Prawns, calamari, bruschetta abd wrapped Mozzarella), pizzas were great too. The sirloin were cooked well but very fatty. We felt it was very good value foroney. Unfortunately the service and atmosphere let the experience down. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly man, but our waitress was miserable and clearly wanted to get rid of us! Added to that, we were sat next to a large table of people who were extremely loud/drunk, not the restaurants fault but it meant we couldn't hold a conversation and it made the experience uncomfortable. That said we will return, probably not on a Saturday night though.

A lovely village pub with high quality but unpretentious food and excellent srvice.

My wife and I along with five three close friends once again enjoyed a lovely meal at the Miners Sling. The staff were very helpful and efficient all night and the food was great quality and value for money. Compliments to the chef/s and to everyone at the Miners Sling for running this wonderful pub/restaurant locally to us.

Service and food were excellent our server Brady was outstanding and very friendly 10/10 all round definitely will recommend

The meal we had last night was nice, but not what I was expecting. Soufflé, gorgeous. Sea bass - such a tiny portion! The prawns were lovely. The anchovy pasta, I felt was over priced and lacked any flavour of anchovies - no lovely salty kick. Just a bit bland. The service though was lovely, really informed staff and all very kind.

Such great service, and really great food. Pizza is great, would thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here and had some dinner in the restaurant in the evening. The food was really good and they were able to cater for her being coeliac (gluten/wheat free) with no issues.

We enjoyed a lovely meal and the service we received from the waiting staff was excellent.

We’re regulars @ settabello Gloucester.. Absolutely love the atmosphere, staff are always so friendly & welcoming. Food is outstanding , always fresh & so tasty .. Bar staff are wonderful. We always recommend settabello to everyone…. Keep up the amazing service .. x

My wife and I have busted several times for meals and also stayed over night. Great food, cosy atmosphere and lovely rooms. Food is great quality and good value for money - one of the best pubs In the area we feel

Absolutely lovely food. I had a Thai Chicken curry and it was the best I have ever had. Staff were lovely and friendly too.

Smashing grub. One of our party had the venison and said it was the best she had ever eaten.

Nice pub, good Sunday roast, not keen on the faggots however another guest enjoyed theirs. We didn’t stop for dessert since these are pricey along with the wine, that we did enjoy.

Enjoyed an evening meal and came back for breakfast. Delicious food. Very efficient and friendly service. Would definitely recommend but book to avoid disappointment.
