The restaurant was packed, as you would expect on a Saturday night so close to Christmas. The atmosphere was great, aided by the waiters enthusiastic support for France in the football match against England. The food was fabulous, as always, and great value for money.

Trattoria Settebello – GloucesterFirst time visitors to the restaurant, it’s a restaurant not a sports Bar and if people wanted to watch football either stay home or go to a sports bar the fact people were loudy cheering at the tv which was in another part of the restaurant really really spoilt the visit for me. And that’s all I will remember from this visit not the food or the helpful staff just the flipping football match. The food was ok, plentiful, infact I asked if the starter was a main and reassured it wasn’t. The seats were comfy although the tables were close to other tables, the cocktails seemed pricer than other restaurants, the food was priced fairly for what you got. I would visit again to try the restaurant minus a football match

Atmosphere - cosy but no music, lots of exposed cool white lightbulbs which wasn’t great for eyes. End of the night they were hoovering before shutting at 10 (which we didn’t actually know and should’ve checked) but just little things
The Masons Arms – CirencesterFour of us chose the Christmas menu yesterday, this being the first time l have visited the Miners. The food was excellent, could fault nothing ~ in fact l would say one of the best meals l have had the pleasure of eating! A variable choice too & likewise the desserts. I can honestly say the food was outstanding along with pleasant staff & comfortable surroundings. Thoroughly recommend & can’t wait to go again !

Our waitress gave us brilliant service (I think her name was Jan but apologies if I have that wrong). A most enjoyable evening to celebrate my birthday.

We ate here a few years ago and it was truly awful so the change of ownership is wonderful news. This is our second visit in six weeks and we’ll definitely be back!!!

The Codrington Arms – Chipping SodburyWhat a nice place! I have been there many times, and I am sure that I will repeat as soon as I can. The food is delicious, but the good thing about the restaurant is the crew. They are kind and polite. The day we visited, the restaurant was full, but we didn't have to wait. If you are going to Bourton-on-the-Water, this is where you want to eat.

The Masons Arms – CirencesterThe Miners has long been a family favourite, to the extent that when my grown daughter visits from Zurich she insists on a meal there each time, and declares the Ploughman's the best she's ever had. We also appreciate the informal but professional service. The only downside is that I can never get three courses in, so have to alternate starter and pudding with each visit!
