Booked for for Lunch for 20 persons for 6th November. We were surprised to find that an F A Cup match was being played at the Yate ground and unfortunately for us, the Codrington was overwhelmed by fans. The staff were under some pressure but remained pleasant and cheerful throughout Though delayed, when our food orders arrived we were grateful; the waiters did a splendid job in serving us quickly. The generous portions of food was nicely presented, hot and delicious. No complaints from anyone in our party. All together an enjoyable time and to be recommended. Thank you

Had the same meal on Wednesday as I did last night as it wasn't the same if chef cooked it better on Wednesday.

Food was very nice, our waitress think her name was cerys was very friendly (blonde girl) however an older lady that wasn’t wearing black (maybe the manager) wasn’t so friendly. Also wasn’t much to choose from on the menu

Would 100% recommend coming here. We came for our first anniversary and I couldn’t have imagined a better place to spend it. Staff were polite and helpful. Food was amazing and a brilliant atmosphere!!!

Lovely Sunday evening meal

We were a table of 6, plus a baby. Everything, from the minute we entered, was excellent! High chair was set up ready, service very quick, very polite. Food excellent! As usual! Look forward to coming again!

Had a brilliant afternoon at The Cod. We took the kids for a Halloween family feast and afternoon tea and it was superb! Great portion sizes and choices. The creepy detail throughout the meal was a hit with the kids. Restaurant was fully decced out in Halloween theme and the staff were super friendly and helpful We're looking forward to coming back for more events! Brilliant place to bring the family.

I have visited the restaurant twice last week. On the first occasion to enjoy a flat white coffee and a tea cake. I haven’t any idea where they’re sourced but the tea cake is one of the best I have ever tasted. My next visit was for an early breakfast- staff as always were very friendly and helpful. Poached eggs soft and salmon were absolutely scrumptious. Donna has created a superb team to help her and the food provided is excellent My thanks to all involved

Went for lunch on Saturday 29th. Invited 4 friends over from Wales. Although the food was as always delicious we were really disappointed with the service. It looked like 4 or 5 young ladies left on their own. There was a large table apart from us for afternoon tea but we were left . On more than one occasion we had to wave to get the attention of the waitress. She brought our bill and walked away yet she gave the bill to the other table stating she would be right back with the card machine. Once again we had to get the attention if the waitress to pay after giving our bill for 10 minutes. It's such a shame as I live here and wanted to show my friends what a lovely place it was. They loved the food but service was shocking

Shown to our table for 6. Menus left drinks order taken then didn't see anyone for 40 minutes. Evidently every time he was coming over some one distracted him. But 2 tables who he sat down after us had their starters and mains before he appeared after we called him over. Oh well they lost the nibbles and starters order as we just had main and left.

We had a delicious meal at the Miners. We loved the menu map showing where all the food is sourced from. The Indian spiced chicken was tasty, topped with a fantastic onion bhaji. My husband thought the venison burger was fabulous. The service was great and very accommodating. Thank you

We booked here as we were heading to Gloucester for a shopping day. it looked amazing on the website however the experience was even better! Food was amazing and very well priced. Cocktails were also amazing. Staff were friendly and so helpful. Shame we live so far away but If were ever in that area again we would definitely come back.
