A lovely place to eat - the food was excellent. We had the bargain £10 for 2 courses menu (only available on Mondays or before 7pm) - stuffed aubergines slices followed by tuna steaks. Both were excellent, well cooked and a good combination of flavours in the dishes. The service was top notch too.

TGI Fridays – CheltenhamHad Sunday Lunch here in September, only Sunday roast available, which you would think would be easy for the kitchen. Restaurant was not particularly busy, however everyones food was luke warm, vegetables soggy and yorkshire puddings like concrete. Apart from the stunning view, this pub had nothing else going for it, and I would definitely not return!

Painswick Hotel – StroudMy family and I have been eating at the Curry Corner since it first opened 30 years ago. We take all our friends and family there for regular eat outs and special occasions. Each and every time the food and service has been fantastic. For those who are not aware, the Curry Corner has undergone a complete refurbishment and the restaurant looks a million dollars. For a superior restaurant experience where you can expect the best we recommend the Curry Corner every time.

I would recommend that you should all go and try it out and you won't be disappointed.

Jesse Smiths Bistro – CirencesterBarnsley House is a truly beautiful place. It appeals to all the senses. There were 3 of us in total for lunch. We were lucky to be sat outside as the clouds were gathering, although we were told that if it did rain then there were tables already laid inside. I opted for the rillettes of duck with pickles. This was served with a thin slice of crostini drizzled with oil. The rillettes were unctuous, truly sublime. The brunette and her fella opted for the peach, Parma ham and mozzarella salad which was a marriage made in heaven. For the mains we all opted for the rib of beef with roasted caramelised shallots, girolles and what looked like bubble and squeak and a lovely jus. The beef was stuffed with rosemary and grain mustard. Delightful. The wine selection has been well selected, we opted for a Bordeaux with went perfectly with the beef. The lingering aniseed aftertaste reminding of a more expensive bottle from the big houses. For desserts the men opted for the cheese selection, while the brunette went for the unken chocolate and prune souffle cake with chocolate sauce and thick cream. Squidgy in the middle. The cheese served at perfect temperature, which included the local stinking bishop. If you’re in the area this place is well worth a visit. The grounds are among some of the best kept in the country. They even have their own extensive vegetable and herb garden. Right next door to their own Aberdeen Angus cows and chickens. Talk about locally sourced. Check this place out.
Barnsley House – CirencesterJust had to write this review to express my thoughts about how great this place is! Gianni is totally italian...staff, waiters and chefs. This reflects in the fantastic Italian atmosphere...you'd think you were in Italy until you walk outside into the Cheltenham Bus Station! The italian-ness extends to the divine pasta dishes and sauces. Just a thought.....if you're reading this Mr Gianni, you need to improve your desserts. This is just a small criticism....but after the authentic italian prepared main meal we expected something in the same vein for afters. Instead we seem to have the run of the mill, commercially prepared set-prepared dessert. Never mind, the main event could not be overshadowed....it was such high quality. And great value, change from the three tenners(!) is terrific for food of the quality we experienced. Go there you will not be disappointed
