This is our third visit to The Miners Sling for Sunday lunch. On the first two occasions our meals were good although disappointing that Beef was unavailable on our second visit. However this visit was extremely disappointing, the beef was undercooked, the vegetables were served up in a large dish with everything mixed up. Again all the veg was undercooked and badly presented, only enough green beans for 1 person, hardly any carrots, a few lumps of cauliflower and undercooked greens, all in all it was extremely poor both in presentation and quality. We were a party of 6 adults and were given one gravy boat half filled, resulting in us having to continually ask for refills. The roast potatoes were tasteless (probably frozen Aunt bessie’s) and the red cabbage had an overwhelming taste of clove and star anise. Quite awful! Needless to say we will not be returning.

Booked a table for 4 plus 1 child. Good menu. My daughter has intolerance to rapeseed so the lovely waitress was very helpful to chat with the chef to make sure nothing contained rapeseed. The chef made a separate sauce as he noticed there was rapeseed in the sauce they use. Unfortunately 20 minutes after leaving my daughter was very poorly, the same as all her other rapeseed attacks she's had It comes on so quickly. We think maybe the potatoes or something else on her plate contained rapeseed as it's a very difficult allergen to detect in ingredients as it is known by many other names. We understand it's not a known allergen and the chef tried, but was told her food was rapeseed free. Just wanted to let you know in case anyone else has the same problems. My dinner unfortunately was greasy and there was more batter on the goujons than fish. Which is a shame. My son and his girlfriend had a burger which they thoroughly enjoyed! We mentioned the greasy dish and had a refund which we appreciated. Thank you! This isn't a complaint just wanted you to be aware of your ingredients.

Spent relaxing evening on Saturday with family. Menu has many choices. Food very tasty. Good drink selection. Chose steaks and I had ploughmans which arrived on huge plate. Lots of salad and extras. Staff extremely friendly. Would highly recommend.

We had a table for 4. The food was excellent and the service we experienced was also excellent. The Chester House Hotel and the restaurant have a wonderful atmosphere and we were made very welcome. The young lady who served us deserves a special mention. I’m afraid I don’t have her name but she was very attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you one and all.

Lovely meal for 3. Very authentic Italian food. Great to chat to Luigi after the meal about authentic ingredients and wine. Will be finding some Collio wine to drink!

A lovely lunchtime visit with friends when, yet again, we were treated to a truly authentic feel of Italy, delicious fayre and wonderful service! Everyone so welcoming and friendly, just makes you feel happy to be there!

We had a wonderfully authentic Italian lunch.Our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was vibrant and relaxed. We will definitely be returning.

We were given gift vouchers, a lovely present at a very tasty eating house, with pleasant staff. It was not too noisy, either, which is a big plus for us.

Worth the trip to Tewkesbury just for this lovely place! Wonderful, authentic Italian food, beautifully presented and tasting amazing. The staff are warm and friendly, always attentive and helpful and the surroundings are perfect. We have visited for years and have never been disappointed.

Keep coming back to Caffe e Vino and have yet to be disappointed. Authentic Italian food served in a super little venue. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a quality meal served by people who love what they do.

Caffe e Vino is our favourite Italian restaurant in Tewkesbury, Davide and his team are amazing, friendly and always engaging with customers, Italian hospitality the best I have experienced outside of Italy. They are all more like friends, after years of frequenting Caffe e Vino. The food is excellent, whether it’s coffee time, breakfast time, lunchtime or evening meal and very authentic Italian food. The wines are excellent too. When it’s time for the garden to open and the sun is shining, you can close your eyes and pretend you are in Italy. We call it our little bit of Italy in Tewkesbury and recommend it to all our friends. Also the wine tasting evenings are amazing, but you have to book way in advance! Thank you Davide and team.

We have eaten here many times on a Sunday and the food has always been fantastic. This week we tried the midweek menu and the food was beautiful. Excellent service and space for the dog. Thank you for a great meal.

My favourite Italian restaurant. Delicious food, value for money ¬ expensive, friendly welcoming efficient staff. So obliging. Lovely atmosphere, always busy. Can't wait for the garden to be open as it's lovely .
