Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsVery tasty Sunday lunch. Staff were welcoming. Venue is rustic but comfortable and dog friendly. Very accommodating of my dairy intolerance- even a lovely pudding!
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsHaving looked at previous reviews we decided to book a ‘Sunday lunch’ during our stay at Lakelands, Flookburgh. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the ‘landlady’ who was chatty and cheerful without being intrusive. Service was on good time during a busy lunch period. The menu offered a wide range of dishes to suit everyones palate. I can highly recommend the battered salt & pepper squid for a starter. Main courses were traditional Sunday lunches of x1 chicken and x1 roast beef served with a selection of vegetables, roast & mash potatoes each being beautifully cooked and presented. Personally I’m not usually a fan of Robinson’s ales but the ‘Dizzy Blonde’ IPA was very palatable and complemented the meal. We would highly recommend the Hope & Anchor if you are in the area.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe have often had scrumptious food at Harry’s Cafe Bar. Last weekend our family had Sunday Lunch for six and everything was so delicious and the staff so lovely too - the best Sunday Lunch ever!

Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsMy wife and I booked a table for Friday lunch 19/05/23 to try the new menu and the meals were very tasty and fairly priced. My Wife had Liver and Bacon and I Loin of Pork in pepper sauce. The lady serving was very attentive, polite and very friendly. The pub looked as if it had been done up since our previous visit. We both agreed we will definitely be back when staying in our static caravan locally. Cheers and best wishes.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe had starters, main meals and soft drinks. Really enjoyed it. Although there was a slight mix up with the order, it wasn't a problem as food was lovely. Short staffed on the day we went but staff apologized, not a problem though as we didn't wait much longer than normal. Thank you to your staff, we will return and won't hesitate to recommend The Hope and Anchor.

Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsVisited with family , 6 altogether over the Coronation weekend. Fortunately prebooked as several walking were turned away. Welcome fro staff very friendly, good choice on menu. Good value for money . Food was e collect all plates for all courses were lean at the end. One slight negative, my lamb was over done for my taste, but that's personal taste and I ate it all As we own a caravan on the nearby holiday park we will definitely be back
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsBooked for Sunday lunch. Had the beef (slow cooked medium rare). It wouldn’t be our choice to have the meat pink but it was excellent. Plenty of veg and nice to have something slightly different. Overall it was all delicious. Best roast dinner we’ve had for a long time.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsSix of us visited on Sunday and thankfully had pre-booked or we would not have been able to get a table. Service was excellent (Matt) and the food was amazing. Matt was extremely helpful and could not have done enough for us. Will definitely visit again if we’re in the area.
