Another great meal last week. Thank you for your great service and relaxed atmosphere. The food was all delicious!

A friendly welcome was just the beginning to an excellent well organised and beautifully presented evening of high quality flavoursome food. Each dish carried a variety of good clean flavours, perfectly cooked and a little artistic flare.

Had spa and lunch with my friend, was really surprised how small the changing area in the spa was, totally inadequate for the number of clients that were there. Also not enough lockers and no private changing area's which could be a major issue for some people. The spa itself was fine though not a patch on others we have been to e.g.The Daffodil, The Swan etc. After the spa,we went for lunch and ordered soup and sandwiches. The waitress appeared to be rushed off her feet and it took 1hr 15mins for our food to arrive and even then my friends soup was forgotten. The sandwiches were fine but unfortunately the soup was dreadful, completely devoid of flavour, watery and powdery. It had clearly come from a packet. Overall the whole experience was underwhelming and not to be repeated.

I've been before and would have at that time (2018) given a full 5/5. Unfortunately this visit was different The changing rooms were not big enough to suit all the people in the spa. Whether it was planning of timings, it was very busy. Having to wait for space. Not great. Also no private places to get changed - not good for those who want a little privacy. The spa itself is nice. We didn't have a treatment this time. No complaints r.e the spa other than I felt it was a little too busy at times. On to the food. We had a voucher so got either a 2 course meal or an afternoon tea It was booked at 1pm. Arrived promptly for this. Reserved seats. We sat down. No issues. Waited approx 20 mins and the waitress brought the prosecco. Lovely. Food wouldn't be long... we thought. At 1.45 I asked how long the food would be as there had been no communication by the waitress. She told me there had been an issue with the till... but ours we had pre ordered (afternoon tea) so technically should have already been on the system She was quite abrupt. Obviously stressed but did not offer an apology. I asked if she could ask how long it would be. She walked off and never returned. At 1.55 I went to reception who were lovely and apologised and at that exact moment the food arrived and we were offered tea /coffee. I just felt communication was really lacking. We could have been offered tea / coffee to put us on. But we weren't The afternoon itself was nice enough. I've had many so I would say it was average Would I visit again... I wouldn't be in a rush too now, no.

Had an amazing time at the spa then afternoon tea will be returning

We went for a spa day and had afternoon tea. The place is absolutely lovely, we arrived early as we were coming by train for the day. They were doing breakfast for the hotel guests, but found us somewhere to sit and get a coffee and got us some toast and jam. We were in the library for afternoon tea which was set up ready for us when we came out of the spa and the food was really good all freshly made and delicious. We spoke to some other spa guests who had opted for hot food and they commented on how good theirs was as well we will definitely be back again very soon. The services isn’t the fastest but the staff will help anyway they can and are really lovely.

The spa was great. Not crowded and the lady that showed us round was professional. The food …. Small potions. £7:00 for a scone. A tea spoon of cream for two scones, no butter. Goats cheese salad really small absolutely not worth the money. The waitress was snotty. When I asked for more cream we got another teaspoon of cream. I would not return to the restaurant for this reason. The hotel is beautiful with great views.

Absolutely stunning location, beautiful hotel, grounds with the added bonus of amazing food and hospitality.

A lovely restaurant with amazing views over the estuary visible through the floor to ceiling windows. The service was amazing but even that was surpassed by the food. The choice in this restaurant was excellent, both for a carnivore like me and my vegetarian partner in all courses. The food arrived promptly and was expertly presented and tasted marvellous. After dinner, we went into the very cosy bar and snuggled up in front of the roaring log fire. All in all, this restaurant is probably not for anyone looking for a cheap, quick bite but for a romantic, memorable evening, you would absolutely not be disappointed

A great day at the Netherwood , a lovely impressive hotel and setting. The spa was lovely , relaxing and the lunch was delicious with attentive service. Our table was reserved with a name card, next to the roaring fire. A very enjoyable day out. We will come back and hopefully will stay overnight at the hotel.

The whole day was brilliant and we couldn't fault with anything at all. The spa experience was different and really enjoyable, the meal and service were perfect. Thank you for a lovely day.

We had a lovely spa experience and then... On entering the hotel for our prosecco and scones what a fiasco. The tables were all full, we waited for an hour before we were served (we did have comlimentary drinks), we ate in the reception area in the end, just so we could have our food. When the food did arrive, it was lovely. The bar man was fantastic, but rushed off his feet, and he did the best he could in the circumstances. I think the overall organisation of the whole thing was a disaster.

Our dining experience let the spa day down. When we arrived there was no one in the dining room, no table reserved for us and we waited 45 minutes before we were eventually seated for our meal. There seemed a real lack of staff and organisation. We then waited a further 20 minutes before we were able to order our meals. When the food came we ordered pudding immediately because this delay had set us back for collecting the kids from school and asked for it to come straight away! It didn’t. We waited a further 15 minutes after our meals for the pudding to come. All in all a disappointing dining experience.

A 2 night stay to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. We dined in the restaurant both nights. Everything about the place was perfect - the setting was beautiful, the rooms comfortable , food both nights was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. We particularly enjoyed pre and post dinner drinks on the sofas in front of the fire. It was a perfect stay and will definitely return

Having been to the Netherwood several times before I have to say for experience, this visit has been the best. Great food, atmosphere and service all second to none. Well done Team Netherwood.

Our visit included an hour and a half in the spa, followed by afternoon tea. We had a lovely relaxing afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed our time

Spa and afternoon tea. Really nice place with lots of character. Food was good and we got through three pots of tea! Could consider bigger tea pots?!
