Dined late November not too busy. Only one waitress but she worked the tables really well, very chatty and efficient. The menu was excellent a little over priced, but the food was nicely presented and delicious. Good drinks menu, nice coffee. Well worth a visit.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe Nearly walked past the restaurant because I suppose I was looking for something bigger and there wasn’t much lighting on the sign , but once through the door we were greeted by lovely staff and a warm atmosphere, We started with the scallops which was absolutely beautiful and then the chicken for the main course, again absolutely beautiful, i left nothing on the plate, it was pricey but so worth it I would certainly return.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat food with a very down to earth atmosphere. Staff checked in on the meals, with perfect timing, cracked a few jokes and were on the ball throughout the meal. Will definitely be checking out Lewis' again in the future.

I didn't stay long enough to eat due to the unfriendly, unprofessional attitude of a member of staff. I eat out often and have never experienced anything like it. I understand that it's tough recruiting people into hospitality, but some people just are not suited to customer facing roles.
