Really lovely place. Delicious food, charming atmosphere and staff friendly & helpful.

Excellent service, a good amount of choice on the menu and varied we had the Ballotine of chicken and the belly pork both were very tasty and well presented. Also a good atmosphere in the restaurant we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We visited on the 27th and 28th October. Both meals where lovely. The staff where very helpful and the restaurant was very tastefully decorated with a lovely atmosphere. Just one complaint the sticky toffee pudding sauce was boiling hot and I have been left with a very burnt mouth. I wish I had been told!!

We have been coming here for at least 15 years when it was Sarah’s bistro and we still love the place and will continue to dine here. Unfortunately on this occasion the fillet steak at best was a sirloin steak and the chicken that my wife had was very dry but we all have bad day’s so here’s to the next time.

What an excellent evening. Lovely, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. Superb food too. SOO god to have such delicious and creative vegetarian food available as well as lovely stuff for the regular meat-eaters.

Six of us dined at Lewis’s on a Tuesday evening. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals - they were delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful. The staff were very friendly. Cannot fault anything about Lewis’s- highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal here on a Saturday evening. Both had the ballotine of Chicken and shared the cheese board for afters. Lovely food and equally good service.

Lovely early evening experience. Enjoyed the food (rack of lamb and fillet steak respectively) very much. Portions also reasonable - we didn't need huge plates full. Very nice and efficient wait/ers/tresses. Two tiny points: make sure all veges are really fresh (well, my brocolli was a bit tough) and music a tad too loud we thought. Otherwise we were quite content and would happily come again.

I could just eat the meal all over again. Back home now from a 1 night stay in Grasmere. We both had the fillet steak for our main dish - superb. We shared the massive cheeseboard also superb. Will definitely book again next time we are in Grasmere

Visited while on holiday in The Lakes - delicious food, lovely restaurant. Staff were good. So good we visited again two days later!

Our 2nd visit this month to this fabulous Bistro...always a warm welcome from the team, menu is varied and always something new to choose, speed of service is perfect which makes for a relaxed enjoyable experience, good wine list and a must is the 'cheese board' for 2 its fantastic..really looking forward to our next visit....

We booked in at Lewis's Bistro on 20/10/2021 and what can I say again the service was first class through out from very welcoming on arrival. Food was top draw as always especially finding the Pork Belly on the menu again as it was the last time we stayed in Grasmere 2 years ago. Thank you again for your amazing food and hospitality, keep up the great work.
