We chose Lewis’s Bistro based on an excellent menu choice and the Tripadvisor review’s and were not disappointed. The food and service was excellent and the portions so good we couldn’t manage one of their amazing deserts. Will definitely be back

We ate here on Saturday March 12th. Lewis’s Bistro is a warm and welcoming restaurant with an excellent atmosphere. Our food was first class as was the friendly and attentive service. Altogether a really good evening out.

Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Really wanted to try the interesting cheeseboard but didn’t have room after the starter and main course.

This was our first time at Lewis Bistro, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was fairly quiet, but for a Thursday evening out of season, I guess that could be expected, but the atmosphere was still very warm and welcoming, and we will definitely be back.

Our meal at Lewis’s bistro was absolutely gorgeous! The staff are very friendly and we didn’t have to wait for too long before the meal arrived. The only thing was it felt quite cold in the bistro maybe there was a problem with the heating? But we will happily return in the future.

Had a lovely meal at Lewis’s bistro. Friendly staff, made a real fuss of our dog which was nice. Food was excellent - husband had lamb and I had fillet steak. Wonderful. Quite expensive but fine for a one off treat

Second visit and food remains of a good standard. However it’s a bit lacking in atmosphere. Tables in line with the door tend to be a little on the cool side

This was our second visit to Lewis’ Bistro and again the meal was absolutely fantastic. The food is superb and restaurant has a lovely friendly atmosphere. This is now one of our favourite places to eat in the Lakes , and we will definitely be returning on our next trip.

Restaurant first night opening. Had to eat with my coat on it was so cold In the Restaurant. Food was reasonable service was good.

Love this place. Yet again had a fabulous meal couldn’t have been more perfect. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 for the “atmosphere” was because it was quite cold in there (but that was probably because it was snowing outside!!)

Put quite simply you have to book to eat here, we live in Keswick and booked a taxi to make life easier (the wine is also exceptionally good) and wouldnt hesitate to return again (this was a return visit as well!) The service is brilliant, the food is sublime, the atmosphere I love, small enough to be intimate busy enough to not be intrusive. Perfect. Thank you all.

Had a lovely meal here and the scallops, sea bass and rum & raisin rice pudding were delicious. The staff very very pleasant and helpful with good level of interaction. Certainly worth a visit

Booked a table here for 7 o'clock . Arrived and the restaurant was busy . Ordered black pudding , chorizo and mushroom starter which was exceptional . This was followed by sea bass with vegetables and finally rum rice pudding with raisins and rum and raisin ice cream . Beautiful . Staff were friendly and attentive .
