Had a meal with the team from work inside the main restaurant. The atmosphere is always calm and inviting and staff were quick to come and take our drink orders. The food order was taken and arrived not long after. I ordered the steak pie with chips and it was delicious, the pie was filled with a generous amount of steak which was very tender. I followed this up with sticky toffee pudding and custard which was delicious. Overall it was a fabulous meal with fabulous staff, couldn’t ask for more

Had a lovely meal with friends. Excellent food choice and very reasonably priced. Restaurant really nice and staff very attentive so no complaints.

Good food excellent service.

When I first arrived at the reception to check in for our table I was totally ignored by the young girl at the desk. When she eventually got round to acknowledging me she just said how many for not even asking my name then the man who I believe is the manager came up and took us to a table. Not a very pleasant experience to start our special occasion.

Had a Sunday carvery for two. Main course was excellent except for the broccoli which was rock hard. Waited ages for dessert to be served - profiteroles and a flame-topped creme brulee. Creme brulee was lucky if it had seen a flame as it was like cold custard under the flimsy crust. Entrance to restaurant is far too cramped for the amount of customers trying to get in or out of, plus the counter is there too. Young lady at the counter needs some customer service training.

excellent Sunday lunch carvery. Food was impeccable. service was outstanding. I only have one gripe……..your music is not everyone’s cup of tea and it was way too loud for such a busy environment. Calm the music, calm the atmosphere! Thank you for a lovely Sunday lunch

Another perfect lunch at Tockett’s Mill. Beautiful location with fabulous service and delicious meals.

First time here for breakfast, drinks and food were served quickly, staff were helpful and attentive, we love the setting and Tocketts is a quickly becoming our going to place for food.

We visit this restaurant often as the food is so good. They were very busy this time and that showed a little bit in the service. We will be back as we really love the food.

We had lunch on Monday (treat fir my birthday) The food was excellent and plenty, even though we had the small plates. I had moules mariners and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. An excellent experience. Thank you

Absolutely spot on, staff are great, Sunday dinner is really, really nice. There's plenty of choice of vegetables, the mushy peas are unreal. The only issue i had was booking a table, I had to book over a week in advance for Sunday dinner, which tells me everything. Try it, won't be disappointed.

Fantastic venue in comfortable surroundings . We all had a tasty sunday carvery , which was a full plate with generous meat portion . Manager spent time with us talking freely and young waiters and waitreses were efficient and polite . Have been there three times and will continue to do so ! Only black mark was when we moved to bar area after meal . We were served by two young waiters who were very helpful advising on drinks available . They brought our drinks to our table . Waiter who arrived on duty later on requested that bar was shut at 10 pm . It was 9.54 pm so requested that were entitled to buy a final round of drinks for our party of four , especially after we had spent over £170 for food and drinks ! Reluctantly , he agreed to my request for another round , with a look of dissapointment . I think he wanted an early finish ! We apoligised if he felt we delayed his early finish jokingly , but it was met with silence ! But overall , a great experience !

We often have a meal here. I've been with just 2 of us to large parties of around 12 of us and the service is always fantastic and the food is tasty hot and with a good choice. It is also very good value for money. Highly recommend.

We had a brilliant time . The food was beautiful tasty and hot and we were served by some lovely polite people. They are a credit to your restaurant. We had two young children with us and the staff were lovely with them they spoke to them not over them which is lovely. We will definitely be back.

I never write reviews, however as wonderful as all the staff here are all of the time, we were served for the first time at Tockets by someone we hadn’t met before. Abel, thank you, your personality shone through, your smile was infectious and we felt that we were seen as individuals. Please don’t get jaded by us, the customers, I know we can be demanding and ungrateful at times. However, to be served at the table by a really lovely warm hearted person really made it a lovely joyful experience. Keep shining.

Outstanding food and service, beautiful setting. My favourite place to go. Looking forward to Boxing Day. Busy on our Saturday visit but good came out with not long to wait, hot presentable and delicious.
