Booked a table for 4 adults. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, however, next time, I would ask that the chips be separate from the battered fish. The chips got slightly soaked from the cooked fish on top. Great service! Looking forward to returning.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughMy friends and I often go to Tocketts for our monthly catch up and always rated it one of our favourite places to eat. However on this occasion we were somewhat disappointed. We do appreciate that there were only a couple of waitresses on and another setting tables. One came and asked us what we wanted to drink after a couple of minutes and we're we served in about 5 mins. About ten minutes later the same lady came and asked for out order and as we had what we usually order gave her our decision. That's when the problem started. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. I always have the quiche but on this occasion I was extremely disappointed. It was half the size and not only did it seem overcooked but arrived with boiled potatoes. I would have preferred chips again, which I usually have, but was never offered. My friend's meals were lovely,the small plate dinners with beef. We then waited nearly 30 minutes after we had finished for someone to come and collect our plates,in fact I was about to get up and put them on the bar. We decided to ask the young lady who was settling the tables to clear ours and after she'd finished doing her table she finally went and got someone. We then decided on having the special as our desert at £9.25 that was also disappointing. It was lemon meringue pie with raspberries, actually only two, raspberries sorbet,a very small scoop,meringue pieces, again not even two small broken up pieces and a green tweel,which my friends left. We complained to the waitress who eventually came to clear the table and she said she would tell the person who did the deserts about our dissatisfaction. As I said it was extremely busy and can somewhat understand with the shortage of staff. However it is sad that our once favourite place to go has gone down in our estimations.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughFirstly this place is so inviting and depending on ambiance your looking for kind of fits the bill you have a family function table that sits a large family in the main room , you have summer vibes and bright colours in the conservatory and then there’s the bar which is rather Romantic and quaint , a great all rounder. We often arrange a few family members for Sunday roast here and I have to say it’s always delicious, the staff are great and are a credit to this place …. I personally love this place . My only gripe is the meat carver could smile a little & be a little friendlier . Other than that it’s definitely a 10/10 for me

Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughWe went to Tockets mill for the Sunday carvery. On our booking we informed them one of our party wanted the vegan option. When we arrived I told them again to ensure there was no delay or problem. We were shown to our table then for no apparent reason we were told to move to the other side of the restaurant and told to go up to the carvery. I told the waiter we would rather wait till the vegan option was ready as we wanted to all eat together. We were informed that it would be at the table by the time had been up to the carvery. We had to find the table ourselves only identified by the drinks we ordered! After a 10 minute wait I hat to ask the waiter were the vegan option was! We still had to wait several minutes. This totally spoilt the meal for one our party. I gave some feedback when paying the bill but they weren’t that interested. I even emailed them directly no response yet over 2 weeks after. We will not be using them again I wouldn’t care they weren’t busy at that time?

Should be able to make a choice based on what is available and see prices before committing to order 2) As a couple we would have preferred to sit away from young children. 3) It seemed understaffed and the young staff that were working seemed overburdened and uninterested. 4) Itemised bill not offered. Lack of transparency with service charges etc.

Nice atmosphere although some of the staff don't come across as very friendly. Will certainly visit again

Food was lovely, the meat was perfect and generous portions too. Lovely surroundings and staff were very helpful and pleasant. Dessert was also lovely. We will most definitely be back.
