First time here went for Sunday lunch carvery and it didn’t disappoint All food was cooked beautifully although it could have been a little hotter service was good I also had a pudding ( like you do ) warm chocolate brownie and custard and I have to say it was the best chocolate brownie I have ever had. We will definitely go back when we are in the area.

Sadly this was not a great experience this time. Party of 5 pre-booked for 3pm. No table ready and then shoe-horned in to the next available table. Table was dirty and had to be re cleaned at our request. Gluten free person was unhappy with no roast potatoes or parsnips and end of roast small pieces of meat. Gluten free Yorkshire pudding and gravy were nice. One other diner left a large amount of meat due to it being hard end pieces of ham. We had to ask for Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes to be replenished and staff appeared run off their feet and very stressed. Not a great pre booked experience at all! Incredibly loud atmosphere to the point of being unable to hear each other speak and bad experience of an unclean ladies toilet. We had always had a great experience previously and thus were treating visiting guests from Germany. Bitterly disappointed.

booked for a Sunday dinner at around 1pm. It took 10 mins for someone to come over and ask us for our drinks order and then another 30 before we could queue for our food. I know it’s busy on a Sunday but over 40 mins for a carvery is a bit silly. The meat was lovely, especially the gammon and beef, very generous slices and the chefs on the carvery were kind and helpful. However the veg/sides could’ve been a lot hotter and there could’ve been a larger selection of vegetables as there was carrots, parsnips, mushy peas and broccoli and cabbage. It felt very limited for what used to be a top tier carvery. We ordered a water and a drink each and the waitress gave us an unimpressed look because we wanted tap waters? Bit odd and rude to be honest. After our meal we got our plates collected and offered a dessert menu. It took 20 minutes and we had to ask twice for a dessert menu. If it wasn’t for my friend really wanting a dessert I’d have personally paid and left. And the desserts are quite overpriced as it is - £7.50 for cheesecake which arguably is a large slice but also £7.50 is pushing it. And to be honest, the dining rooms were not full when we were there at all. Very very slow service from what is normally really good! The manager in at the time checked on us and was shocked we hadn’t had a dessert menu but the rest of the staff just seemed unimpressed and not engaging at all, standing about chatting. The lady on the front desk and the manager of the day were absolutely lovely though.

Roast Dinner was delicious. Desert was even better Lemon Meringue Pie and a Cherry Cheesecake. Service and staff excellent.

We have been many times over the years Much better since the restaurant put full table service and have stopped customers going to the bar to pay for meals and getting drinks The vegetable selection was absolutely amazing Roasted Parsnips,Cabbage, Carrots, MushyPeas, Broccoli (Broccoli was slightly hard for our taste but maybe suited others) Mashed Potatoes, Roast Potatoes, Stuffing Balls, Yorkshire Puddings Delicious Gravy, Horseradish, Apple Sauces to complement the meat Choice of meat was Beef, Gammon, Pork, Turkey Breast Used to love the traditional jam rolly poly pudding with custard for afters Been taken off the menus for some time now (Shame as was really delicious) At no point did we feel rushed Waiters and Waitresses very pleasant and polite

Always a pleasure to eat & drink here , staff are really helpful and friendly food is amazing , we all had the Sunday carvery 5* Would highly recommend a visit

We booked in a table of four and we had the most amazing time of our life. The food was mouth watering, i enjoyed every bit of it including the juicy tender steak with chips. I celebrated my birthday in a historical manner. I will write it in my memories to cherish every moment of it. Special thanx to Michael the manager he was hands all and delivered an awesome customer service. I would recomend everyone to visit the place.

We visited for the first time and will definitely be back. Lovely food, great choice. Staff we welcoming. Service was fabulous. Great value for money.

We had a wonderful meal the fish melted on our tongues the curry was beautifully spiced with perfect rice The service was very good during a busy time and the staff were polite and attentive we highly recommend this restaurant for excellence quality of food, service and price thank you

Myself,daughter and 2 grandkids arrived and shown to out table. Found the waitress abrupt. Ordered. Waited over a hour for our food. My daughter had to send her Parmo back as burnt underneath. A new one arrived quickly. Mine was dry on the top but didn’t complain. We were celebrating a special occasion which was marred by the not so good evening. The manager was very apologetic

The food was lovely and the atmosphere and ambience in the conservatory was excellent. However, a 1hr and 15 minute gap between arriving and the food being brought to the table was unacceptable. To be fair they did take a few pounds off the bill but that is not the point.. Of the restaurant is really busy then the kitchen needs enough staff to cope - or take less bookings.

Lovely restaurant with excellent staff. Lack of disabled parking which I needed for my sister. Food was good but a little expensive. Small pot of chunky fries £3.95 We did not know about the meal deal and was not offered it. Still don't know what it comprises of. Had a 9 year old obese child with us but there was nothing suitable for her so she ended up having the small plate meal which was really to much for her.

A return visit to Tockets by myself and family.I'm here from Perth Western Australia. Staff………very pleasant and helpful. Food …….. very enjoyable and value portions. Ambience….. location superb, facilities 1st class.. I’ve seen Tockets change over 2 decades ,but always for the better.

We had a lovely meal here 19th August 2024 Food was great and good service.

My wife and I celebrated our 34th anniversary with a fantastic meal. Can not fault the service and exceptional food we shall definitely be returning soon.
