We ate at Denmans last night 21.3.24 The food as always was delicious. Rob is a very talented chef & the food is always absolutely stunning. The atmosphere is intimate & relaxed & the staff are very friendly. Denmans is certainly a jewel in the heart of Shelf.

None of us drink so the owner made us the most amazing tasting pina colada mocktails. The chef catered to my meal request of doing poached egg even though after 12 menu . I wouldn't sit by the window again as it was very distracting and I didn't feel like it was private and intimate enough to talk freely & it was a bit draughty ( not great for winter whether) , to be fair, limited options were available on the ground floor as it was too cold to sit outside and few tables inside. The upstairs bit is more spacious. The place was very busy and could of done with more waiters or a more experienced waiter though the young girl who served us was very sweet . Overall we had a fab time and would go back especially for the mocktails and smoothies. A great place

The food is always different and absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and it’s all served in a nice cosy atmosphere . Can’t way to to come back, funds permitting.
Denmans Restaurant – HalifaxVery impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. My daughter and I shared two appetisers (chorizo and calamari) and a mushroom and truffle pasta. All were delicious and the pasta we shared was served in two bowls. Even sharing, I was unable to finish the pasta and was immediately offered the chance to box up the rest to take home (and thoroughly enjoyed it the following day). I have no hesitation in recommending Totem and will certainly be back.
Totem – HalifaxReally enjoyed our dinner out here, had cocktails at the bar to start, and had a lovely quiet table. Star of the show for food were the scallops and the steak, cooked to absolute perfection. Service was great, not too intrusive. My only disappointment was that we went on a Thursday and were never offered the 241 cocktails, or the 5 dishes for £40, I only realised later as they posted it on their Facebook, it would be nice to let guests know about the offer perhaps?
