Me and my sister visited last night, the food was beautiful and the staff as always were amazing, nothing was too much trouble we will definitely be back

We’ve had a few meals here and they’ve all been lovely. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely continue to revisit.

What a gem of a place. 100 Mark's for the kitchen staff and front of house. For a pub it was first class from the moment we entered until we left, which was happy and content.

3rd visit since the new menu and absolutely lovely food and staff. Downside was the hour+ wait for food. Staff were apologetic and food was fresh Just be mindful you could have a slight wait!

Amazing food!! Will definitely be back for more. Great service too.

Been following for a while on FB. Food always looks tremendous, booked my wife and my 89 year old mother for her birthday, bit of a run out for us, ordered in advance the Wok sharing platter, could not believe the portion sizes of other customers meals, and how good they looked, had a drink whilst we waited, when it came. , again couldn't believe how much food they gave us, absolutely perfectly cooked, and the honey/soy sauce and accompanying 2 pans of delicious curry sauce was to die for, everyone including us had to get very large foil dishes for the spare food, just too much to eat !! Service and staff brilliant and a credit to the Beehive, will definitely visit again, soon!

Came again yesterday with a friend, who was also impressed with the food, the outstanding quality and quantity you serve. Staff are always very attentative and polite nothing is ever to much bother x

The food is AMAZING, the staff are lovely and knowledgeable about the meals and they can’t do enough to help you. Price is spot on. 5* from me and my husband and we will be back.

First time at beehive - staff were lovely and very attentive x food was amazing - we all had different meals and all thoroughly enjoyed every part .... we will definitely return x

First visit - Date night - Honest review If it had been lunch time we would have given 5* across the board. Food - Lovely and portions are massive Value for money - no doubt And service - The staff were brilliant Only thing we didnt enjoy fully was the table / atmosphere - bit loud for us but that was our preference, no fault of the pub. After reading all the amazing reviews I booked a table for a Sunday but it was Sunday lunch only. We had belly pork starters which were amazing and a Sunday roast with was nice. We weren't asked to leave our table and sat a while. We then booked to come back for a joint birthday meal. The lady serving looked put out at more customers arriving. Two of us had the pork belly starters. They were over cooked and the sauce had dried into a solid sticky syrup which you had to scrape off your plate like sticky glue. My mum had the king prawn and rump steak skewers for main. They were also over cooked and chewy. There was a large quantity of thin fries in the bowl too. The dish was very dry. My daughter and I had the sea bass and I had a lovely amount of the lobster dressing and she had barely none. So we asked the lady if we could have some more. No was the answer. Its made up especially from scratch for the dish. My daughter commented that I had lots and she had none so the lady said she would go and ask the chef. You'd think we had asked her to sever her leg off for us. The chef was very accommodating and more dressing was given. We then asked for a doggy bag for a portion of chips. She returned with a box for us and pretty much threw it on the table. Then said we need the table as we have a group of 15 due at 4pm. It was 3.40pm and there were only 2 other tables occupied at this point. We wanted desserts and coffee but were unable to have these. She said you can look in the bar but I don't know if any tables are free in there. You only get 2 hours. I said we didn't realise this? No one said? She said you can see online you only get 2 hours. I said we hadn't seen this online? And we still had another 20 minutes if that was the case! She said you can see by the booking slots they are 2 hours apart? We left really dissatisfied with some of the food, other parts of the meal were amazing. But her attitude was appaling. We definitely won't be coming back. We headed off to the Mill at Houghton and all had delicious deserts, were greeted by lovely staff and also stayed for coffee. Try the Mill. They seem to appreciate your custom
