The food was lovely and the service impeccable from the staff. The Guiness was a great pint which seems difficult for other pubs in the area. The bar area has a great atmosphere and gives you a sense of a traditional pub. Only thing which could be improved on is the back room where we ate which needs a little "something" as it feels a little disjointed from the rest of the pub.

Amazing food and such wonderfully helpful and friendly staff! Helped us to make our friend’s 40th really special. Make sure you book, as it is understandably popular!

Excellent food, friendly staff, excellent overall experience

Food was absolutely amazing, very reasonable prices and the waitresses were fantastic with my toddler, will undoubtedly be back again!

Excellent food with amazing service. Brilliant bar man so friendly and up for a laugh. Nothing is ever too much for the staff Looking forward to our next meal. Well done guys.

We love this Italian with it's Greek specials and now we've had the roast dinner! BEST Sunday lunch today at The Prospect Italian Bistro. All the vegetables and trimmings were cooked perfectly and the portions really big. Friendly family service, atmosphere and a new brighter decor. We will be back!

Perfect

Not sure if I went on a bad day but me and a bunch of my friends popped in for lunch one day and no more than an hour after eating we were all rushing to the toilet with varying degrees of diarrhoea. Was a real shame as we weren't able to go to the theatre as we had planned. I was even forced to call my boyfriend as it was such an emergency.

We have had a takeaway from Mai Thai a couple of times now, and in our opinion it is one of the most authentic around the Newcastle area. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.We'd definitely recommend it. We live in Gateshead which is a little bit of a drive from Mai Thai, however, the delivery has always been quick an the drivers are lovely and very friendly.

Mamas is the best restaurant in the area, food is always 1st class, piping hot, and very tasty. Staff are always polite friendly and helpful. I loved it when it was Benitos, but then it went downhill, so its great to see it has been refurbished and re-opened. only 1 negative is sometimes you cant get parked due to customers at the hairdressers opposite using the car park. We had to find another place to eat recently due to this. But fabulous restaurant, and great happy hour menu and prices, I have also heard that their steak dishes are out of this world.

Very cold and unpleasant to sit in, there were only 2 of us but still managed to bring wrong drinks, starters tasty but very small, main course chicken was full of sharp bones big enough for a child to choke on, very apologetic but still expected me to pay full price!!! main courses very small, desserts very small so had 3 course meal and left still hungry!!! food is tasty but an awful lot more to a good restaurant than that, I won't be back. 2/10

Been for the second time 2night what a lovely restaurant the food is 1st class and so are the staff my daughter really enjoyed the hot chocolate fudge cake to finish off the meal a definite favourite place to each for us !!!!

FANTASTIC! by far my fave eating place at the moment. really cant fault it. can highly recommend the the lasagna, chips and a garlic bread, awesome and less than a tenner

would definitely recommend this restaurant, its had a full refurb and the new owner was head waitress at amore in sunderland previously which is also lovely. I went last night with another couple and it was packed even the bar area was full, the staff were friendly and came straight to take our drinks and food orders which arrived shortly after, food was delicious and reasonably priced too, definite MUST GO !!
