Enjoyed a lovely lunch here this week with a friend. Really tasty, home cooked food at a good price and great service
The Rising Moon – HydeBooked a table for 4 for 5pm, on arrival greeted by pleasant staff. Order our meals, which arrived quite quickly. Two meals plus a childs order from the menu and a Sunday roast. Childs meal and the 2 meals from the menu where excellent, unfortunately the Sunday roast was disappointing, the gravy was very salty, roast potatoes too hard and the stuffing was hard. The meat was lovely. The meal arrived with the gravy already poured over meal so there was no way to avoid it. Having said this it will not stop me from going again. Music played at the right volume and the service was excellent.
The Rising Moon – HydeFriends meeting for lunch. Lovely food and a great atmosphere with groups, couples and families all enjoying the day.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe booked table for a meal on 26/3/26 , never been here before, but it looked lovely when I drove past several times. On arrival, the young staff were very friendly and polite, it is a lovely pub inside, we were allocated a table and then then ordered starters and mains. That's the end of the nice bit! I ordered Atlantic prawn cocktail, it was eatable that was it... The mains we ordered lasagne with side salad and my husband had steak &ale pie with seasonal veg . Well lasagne looked delicious and the side salad was a handful of just lettuce! Nothing else? I had to order a separate bowl of side salad.. the lasagne was like eating huge block of strong cheese! So overpowering you couldnt taste anything but cheese, it spoilt it ... the pie was nothing special very plain .. as for the veg? One stalk of cauliflower that was rock hard... a handful of wat looked like raw cabbage and a dollop of swede.. food was very disappointing.. we would not recommend or return to this pub again .. food definitely needs looking at.
The Rising Moon – HydeThis is the seconf time we have been to The Rising Moon, first was midweek and the food was very good indeed. We then booked for Sunday lunch and the Sunday lunch was excellant. All the staff are polite and attentive withour being pushy and we have a dog which they were lovely too and an added bonus also a doggy menu. All in all two very good experiences. We will definately return
The Rising Moon – HydeI enjoyed a Sunday lunch with friends, Sun.22nd. March Staff very pleasant and helpful.
The Rising Moon – HydeLovely, friendly pub with good food. Been a few times with friends and we haven’t been let down. I rarely leave the house with being a full time carer: whenever I manage to get out it has been to this pub and we’re booking another visit in the next few weeks. Food and service highly recommended. Light bites menu perfect for us pensioners!
The Rising Moon – HydeI go here very regularly and I’ve never had a bad meal, service is always great and it does get busy but for me that’s a sign that it’s popular for good reason! Really reasonable prices too!
The Rising Moon – HydeGreat place, excellent food and service- never had a bad experience. Book in advance as it’s busy because it’s so good!
The Rising Moon – HydeGood was great as usual. Service was good too. Lovely hidden gem.

Lymefield Garden Centre Tea Room – HydeLovely friendly welcome which was match by delicious food and excellent service. That’s why I keep coming back.
The Rising Moon – HydeMy friends and I had a lovely lunch yesterday, the food was excellent, it was hot and presented very nicely, the service was also very good, also excellent value for money. thank you.
The Rising Moon – HydeI went yesterday to celebrate 2 birthdays. When we arrived and were greeted and seated quickly. Whilst we were waiting for our friends to arrive I could overhear a waitress being quite rude to another customer and ended with I can't do anymore for you and walked off. The customer had rang up for something and was told it was fine but when they arrived they hadn't done what was requested. When the room we were in filled up you couldn't hear yourself think due to the loudness of people's voices echoing. Then another customer with a sausage dog turned up which kept barking. I'm all for dogs being allowed as a dog owner myself but that was too much. The food was ok. It all arrived warm after what seemed like an age . We asked for the bill 3 times and it didn't arrive. In the end we went up to the bar to pay and was given the wrong bill. I haven't been for a few months and unfortunately left not in a rush to return. I'm all for giving praise where it is due but on this occasion it wasn't great
The Rising Moon – HydeFrom the day I made a reservation for 10 people to leaving the restaurant we we're dealt with professionally, polite and with a smile. The staff were lovely from start to finish, the food was served quickly, hot and very tasty. Thanks again for a lovely afternoon when nothing was too much trouble ☺️ I would definitely recommend
The Rising Moon – HydeHighly recommend! Lovely service- very considerate of my mum’s disability. I had rag pudding ( I always do!!) and mum had the steak and ale pie. Both were absolutely fantastic. We’ll be back.
