Great service and really nice food.
The Rising Moon – HydeVisited The Rising Moon with my friends for the first time yesterday for a Sunday roast. Had an amazing service from all the team from the start to end of our time at the restaurant. Food was good quality nice and hot when served and a good price too Look forward to visit again soon and would highly recommend.
The Rising Moon – HydeStopped coming here because the food wasn't as good and the service wasn't up to much thought we would give it another chance that was a mistake food still the same they have changed the menu and it's very bland my daughters buttermilk burger was burnt but she wouldn't let me complain. We didn't get any cutlery with our starters so had to get our own then the same thing happened with the main course. Ordered drinks twice they didn't come had to go to the bar twice to ask where they were. We didn't stay for dessert won't be returning.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe had lunch at the Rising moon on Wednesday. As usual, great service and food in a lovely setting, we have meals here regularly and have never been disappointed, my wife has a few food intolerances, the staff could not have been more helpful in making sure everything was ok for her to eat.
The Rising Moon – HydeThe service was extremely slow and the waitress forgot to bring the drinks. The food was very disappointing and not value for money. My wife could not even cut through the cheese and onion pie. Will not be recommending nor returning.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe had a party of 31 celebrating an 80th birthday, food was great, service was excellent and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you.
The Rising Moon – HydeNice food , nice staff
The Rising Moon – HydeWent on Bank Holiday, a bit too noisy and busy for us, but to be expected. Adult food was good in the end, good portion size and tasty. Service wasn't the quickest though and our order was originally brought out wrong, more worryingly for our daughter's allergies. The restaurant apologised and quickly fixed the issues with adult order, and replaced my daughter's with what we ordered for her, but her chicken was very very dry, she left most if it. We ordered the alternative options for children with allergies dessert, but were then told they were all out after we'd already placed the order, they offered my daughter strawberries instead which she enjoyed. okay overall experience, but won't be rushing back. We've had much better experiences and overall food quality elsewhere.
The Rising Moon – HydeFood was lovely waiting staff were brilliant unfortunately this is the second visit we have had to wait 50 minutes for food .
The Rising Moon – HydeExcellent lunch experience as always. Professional and friendly staff, always ready to advise on menu choices for those indecisive diners and take the time to chat to diners when they can. Food arrived quickly, piping hot and generous portions. The bill is always a pleasant surprise !
The Rising Moon – HydeCame from Ireland to see my mum. Really fancied a proper English roast. Was not disappointed. Mum had beef and I had pork. Wow... huge portion and all the trimmings. Despite feeling full I just couldn't put my cutlery down. Must book my next flight over.... obviously to see my mum but more so to grab another roast!!!
The Rising Moon – HydeReally enjoyed our meals , food was tasty and well presented. Staff were very professional and friendly in nice cosy atmosphere. Only one little gripe, the beer was a bit flat and tasteless , having said that I would definitely be paying the Rising Moon another visit soon.
The Rising Moon – HydeGreat food, staff very friendly and professional. Will definitely be back. The only negative was when I booked for a party of two I asked for somewhere quiet as I am a deaf person and would struggle to hear. Unfortunately they sat us right next to speaker playing Music. We didn’t asked to be moved as I get embarrassed about my deafness and don’t want to make a fuss.
The Rising Moon – HydeWaited an hour for starters, staff apologised (free drink, fair enough). Steak not too bad but a little overdone for what was asked for. Ordered fries with meals which were still raw in the middle(how do you undercook fries), had a bill which was paid in full due to courtesy. (Never moan usually as both of us have worked within the trade). Won't bother again
The Rising Moon – HydeI booked for lunch with my friend. I realise it's school holidays and the sun was out so the garden area was busy but I side wasn't too bad. The waiting staff were polite and friendly but the service was slow, very slow. It took ages for our meals to be ordered and even longer for them to arrive. I ordered a prawn salad with a mango dressing, sounded lovely. In fact it was bland. There was no mango dressing just a little mayonnaise coating the prawns. The leaves had no dressing at all. The brown bread it was supposed to have was two half slices of white bread that looked like it was Warburton's Toastie. I tried to catch a waitress to ask if something was missing but there was no sign of one and being hungry I just ate it. In contrast my friend's meal was delicious. Half way through our meal drinks arrived that we had already had three quarters of an hour before. Perhaps it was just a bad day ?
The Rising Moon – HydeAs we arrived we were shown to our table the staff member was super excellent and the manager is also is very friendly and helpful. I has the cheese onion pie which was excellent and he had liver and bacon which was also very nice Will be returning soon
The Rising Moon – HydeGood service and food as always. Just disappointed at £12 for a little bottle of Prosecco ! 200ml bottle.
The Rising Moon – HydeGorgeous food as always. Was a little disappointed when plates were being taken from the table whilst others were still eating.
The Rising Moon – Hyde1 course, £10.95; 2 courses, £14.95 (available 12pm-4.30pm).
