I came here for lunch with a friend after hearing positive reviews. We had a lovely meal. I am coeliac and the menu was labelled clearly with gf options which was great to see. We shared starters of garlic mushrooms, king prawns and chorizo alongside the halloumi salad and sweet potato fries. There was a lot of food. Everything was a good portion size. All dishes were lovely. Service was excellent. We then went and had a few drinks in the beer garden which had great views. There is a hut to buy food from there too. We will definitely be back.

Never had an issue until now. Service was very slow and the food was not up to the usual standard. The bar girl was quite rude. Overall not the best experience we have had. The fish was way over cooked and the chips were still hard.

Brilliant pub. Best cheese and onion pie I've ever had, great service, warm and friendly staff. Really good cocktail (take me to the beach) I would definitely recommend.

Me, my friend and her son met for lunch here. I requested something altering from my chosen meal, my friend has a chicken Sunday roast and her son had a childrens meal. Service was great, nice and friendly and quick. The meal’s were absolutely gorgeous! I already can’t wait to return!

Been a few times recently and never had an issue, food has always been great. However this time, we were celebrating a special day and the food was a big let down, rock hard roasts, stuffing not even cooked and a hair on the broccoli. We told the waitress but to no avail.

Had a lovely lunch with a friend recently. Have been several times before and always found the food really good. Good value for money and a pleasant atmosphere. Staff have always been helpful and pleasant too.

Bit of a letdown to be honest. I booked this place for lunch for a group of 8 of us, we arrived at 12pm and by the time we had gotten our food/rushed eating it/and paid it was almost 2pm. They took ages to come and take our order and one of us had to go and ask her to come over, then when the waitress took our order she didn’t write anything down and it was a big order, and no surprise one of the meals was wrong, I don’t see why you don’t just write things down? When the food finally arrived - which again took a long time, most of it was cold and mediocre at best to be honest and when we had finished after waiting for a long time again we eventually had to go and pay at the till ourselves as no one came over to give us the bill/take our plates etc. I used to really enjoy this place as did a few of the other diners I went with but we all agreed it had really gone downhill. Such a shame really as the location and pub are beautiful.

Great pub . Relaxing atmosphere. Lovely food . But disappointed they don't do the mushrooms in Stilton anymore , and the chips are not home made as stated on the menu .

Absolutely lovely meal. Good portion sizes. would recommend a visit. Good friendly staff & helpful nothing was too much. Will definitely be booking again.

On arriving staff were welcoming and showed us to our pre booked table for two. Just one menu per table? We both had Cheese and Onion Pie for main course. Sorry to say, it was a big disappointment to us both. Very dry, as were the chips. Left most of it. The table to our side complained over their meal, not sure what was wrong with theirs? The waiter, whist collecting our plates, asked if we had enjoyed it. We said no, as obviously, there was a lot left on both plates. To be fair, after paying the bill in full, the manager came over and asked us for our feedback ‘for Chef’. We told him and he asked if we had paid, whilst apologising. We said we had….to which he said ‘oh well I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it!! And walked off!!! Come on Rising Moon!!! Get your act together!!

Came here for a birthday meal, never been before would definitely go again food was amazing and staff really kind and good service

We really like this pub but think the food has gone down a bit since its had new owners/management. I was very disappointed when my food came and my chips was frozen chips and not home made as the menu stated

This is our local as its the best in the area. Staff are friendly and food is always good.

Really lovely food, friendly staff who were great with the kids and just a lovely pub. Definitely recommend and will be going again!

The food was really nice, it was very busy on a very sunny day and the service was excellent...a young man who took our order was very attentive and polite and pleasant...i would recommend it to anybody.
