Very good first time in for a while, will be going back soon.

My husband and I come back here time and again because it is by the far the best little restaurant within miles. The food is lovingly made and beautifully presented. The service is warm and inviting and the fact that it’s such a cosy little place just makes it all the more special.

We had a wonderful evening. The service was great. We were well looked after. The food was so tasty, warm and delicious. We Will definitely come again.

Sunday lunch is excellent and great value. Would say to everyone give it a try.

Best kept secret. At the Stables all food is made from scratch on site. The flavours of the food are light and tasty. The sauces complement very well. Portion sizes are good. Staff are very polite and your not rushed. The menu is updated on a regular basis. Your missing out on a fantastic dinning experience. We look forward to returning soon.

The Stable is lovely, fab staff and best food I've tasted for a long time. It's that nice on my way out I booked another table for the week after. I would highly recommend you and your family to dine here.

My partner and I went to The Stables for my birthday,Tuesday13th May. We both had exceptionally lovely meals. The atmosphere and service is also excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any body, and we will definitely be returning. A truly wonderful culinary experience !!!!

Tim provided the food for my 40th birthday bash - Lancashire hot pot complete with crist and red cabbage, Thai green chicken curry wih fragrant rice, and a goats cheese and butternut squash lasagne - absolutely delicious. Food delivered to our house around 6pm complete with heating dishes, crockery and cutlery. Went down a storm with all our guests. Tim picked everything back up this morning. Amazing food and really great service, excellent value for money and will be visiting the restaurant again very soon. A definite recommend!

I am a local resident of Gee Cross and have been drinking in this pub as a regular for the last few years. It used to be a lovely, well run pub with nice clientele. However, over the last six months or so there has been a massive change, with a lot of local residents choosing to avoid this establishment. The landlord is more concerned with profits, than the well being of local residents and customers, maybe he should stick to barbering than running a pub. He lets in a lot of customers who are barred from other local pubs in the village, unconcerned about the trouble they may cause. He also turns a blind eye to the obvious drug dealing/taking in these premises.The last few times I have been in this pub, there has been fights breaking out, with no door staff on to intervene. Only this Friday as one fight erupted at the rear, other fights started to break out, resulting in one person being randomly head butted and knocked out completely. The only person who seemed to do anything about it was the barman, Gregg, who stopped the fight.As a concerned resident of Gee Cross village, I will no longer be drinking in here, and will also be making complaints to licensing authorities.I would like to point out that this in no way is a review of the restaurant, which has always been superb, but this is a review of the bar.

Myself and my hubby often go to eat at different restaurants but this restaurant is by far the best that we have eaten in. The staff are very friendly and attentive and always make you feel welcome. As for the food it is absolutely perfect and never disappoints us, there is a great selection on the menu and it is well worth a visit.

If you haven't tried The Stables, you don't know what you are missing. The food is absolutely heavenly, the best for at least 5 miles around. A real cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make this restaurant a little gem in Gee Cross village.

With this being a local family run restaurant we find it is excellent quality but expensive prices but worth a treat every now and then, we recently went to a themed night which was a Greek night, food was amazing and plentiful, it really is a good place to visit

Amazing food every time, sticky toffee pudding to die for. with excellent service. Highlighly recommended for a chilled out evening meal or a lunchtime family get together.
