Not great. Waitress was friendly but food poor. Had beef brisket which was undercooked and chewy, with potato tots that aren’t actually tots they’re just cheap sliced potatoes . Ordered Mississippi Mud Pie for dessert and was served a tiny slice of cake that was smaller than the kids desserts so sent back and decided not to have a dessert at all. Received bill and was overcharged by £12 so went to bar to rectify which they did. You can’t advertise yourself as a smoke house and serve beef brisket that isn’t smoked or slow cooked and dry and chewy. On the plus side the kids enjoyed their meals . Will possibly try again and order something different from the menu to see if it was just a one off bad experience.

4 of us all had different mains, we all loved our meals. The desserts were delicious and the staff were lovely. The only improvement for us would have been a little more heating as the room is large and open plan and we found it a little chilly. This will not stop us returning however as we had a lovely night

We arrived just as the place was opening. The service was very pleasant even though it was obvious that it was the first evening for 2 of the servers. We started with Nachos which was enough for the 2 of us and we then had burgers which were very good. I felt they were home made. The amount of food was more than enough. The only criticism was that the fries and tats were both heavily spiced, probably too spiced and salty for us. We will be back.

We were really excited to try the Smokehouse & decided to make the most of the new Tuesday offer 2 burgers for £20 - the burger offer is very good and the burgers were tasty and good value for money. I ordered ceasear salad and was given chicken as an extra which was not charged for Thank you the salad was good - my husband ordered half a rack of ribs with potato tots, we only ordered half as ribs in Smokehouses visited elsewhere are normally too big if anything!! We were honestly shocked at what came out they were tiny and the plate was covered in slices of tasteless fried potatoes - I honesty thought they were from Aldi - we were asked several times if everything was okay and in fairness didn't complain so gave no chance to put right ! However if you served it you need to own it as you felt it okay to put this out

Not been for a while, but familiar staff still working there, and they remembered me. Food and service as good as it's always been. I had a chicken Rogan Josh, the ingredients and flavour were excellent. The chapatis were also superb and baked to perfection. We'll be back.

Food was very good got nachos to share but there was only really enough for one paid extra for pulled pork but there was more cheese than pork. The main meal was a full rack of baby ribs which again was very small and only a tiny piece of corn on the cob expected at least half of one. Dessert the strawberry and cream waffles were very good but disappointed in the sticky toffee pudding it was approx 2 x3 inches for £6.95 although tasty. Overall nice meal but need to increase the portion sizes.

Took a while to get a menu I had the burger seemed like it was a defrosted burger. Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed. Nice coffee though. Not much food for a lot of money

Was a last minute decision as we were driving back down motorway. We had a starter & main course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also there's a nice range of beers. Will be back hubby probably will take some of his friends that go for a meal together every few months or so

Table for 3 at 7.00pm on a Sunday. We're a little disappointed the brisket was off the menu as this would appear to be one of their signature dishes. Service was fine although the staff all seem to be quite young and maybe not as experienced as you find at other placesbut were polite and attentive. Steak was excellent, and burgers were tasty and the dusted fries are very nice. Would go again

Ate at Henry’s on Saturday 1st March with a friend. Booked for 7pm, arrived at 6:50pm and stood waiting for a while at the bar to be served. Decided to go over to the restaurant area where we were greeted by a man who said they were just clearing out table…10 minutes later we were seated. 30 minutes went by and no drinks order was taken, the girl finally came and took our drinks and food order and then the waiting begun. We ordered pork belly bites to start followed by the beef brisket. The brisket came at the same time as the starters, but we accepted this. The pork belly bites were so fatty with hardly any pork in there, drenched in a very strong BBQ sauce. The beef brisket was also drenched in another very strong BBQ sauce but was like warm at best, despite being served on warm plates. The waitress apologised and exchanged both dishes quickly, the new mains were piping hot and tasted nice. The corn on the cob that came with the mains was a tiny portion. Normally you would expect half a cob with a meal like that, however we received a half that had then been quartered! Half way through the meal we ordered more drinks which never arrived. We felt extremely sorry for the waitresses as they were clearly trying their hardest with what seemed to be very little training. Listening to other tables conversations I would confidently say no one else in our vicinity had a positive experience with either the food quality nor the service.

Visited a week ago and didn’t want to review immediately. On reflection I still feel the same. Food wasn’t great, certainly wasn’t American style BBQ (I’m a keen bbq enthusiast and have visited bbq competitions in the US). The brisket was dry and resembled well done roast beef with little to no bark, and surprisingly is cooked in a bbq sauce so you can’t have that on the side. The ribs were flavoursome if a little fatty but were served almost lukewarm. The mac n cheese might as well have been mac n milk, the saving grace was the side of pork ‘burnt ends’. I won’t put much stress on the poor service as the young girls appear not to have had any training and is easily overcome if the food is fantastic. Which it was not. I suspect the courses took so long to arrive as they were making sure the brisket was dry and my ribs had cooled enough to be handled by a child. Total time 2.5hrs for 2 course. 3 people. Hopefully things improve as we’d love to have a PROPER bbq restaurant locally, other than Hickory’s. Seems like the marketing and idea of the place far outweigh the delivery. It wasn’t terribly expensive though.
