Buraq – KirkhamNot been for a while Alround very good
The Kingfisher – KirkhamSecond time visiting this restaurant have moved into the area and wanted to support local business. The staff are lovely very attentive and pleasant. Food is delicious, brisket next level, my wife loving the mushrooms and texas toast and ribs. Food packed up on request (even some fries thrown in to keep the left over brisket from being lonely) All in all a great place, reasonably priced with a friendly team. Background music a little loud for our tastes but not something that would stop us returning!
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamFood was fantastic, best bbq food and even better service
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamSuperfood as usual, never ever had a “mediocre” meal here. Always exceptional.
Buraq – KirkhamAlways a pleasure dining and drinking at the Kingfisher, food is with good extensive menu, the staff are friendly and a great atmosphere
The Kingfisher – KirkhamWe went to Henry’s Smokhouse for my birthday and had an amazing time. Food and service was amazing and my Mac & Cheese connoisseur of a 10 year old son said it was the best he’d ever had! Will be back again very soon.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWarm and friendly pub where we booked for a midweek evening meal. I had the fish platter and my husband had the cheese and onion pie. Food was very good and served very promptly. Really enjoyed the fact that it is all table service. Happy to recommend The Kingfisher for relaxed family dining.
The Kingfisher – Kirkham5 mains meals all perfect. Service excellent.. It was quiet which suits me but some people might like more of a buzz.
The Kingfisher – KirkhamWe visited as part of an 11 person group on a Sunday evening. I had seen that they did a bffet, but am generally not a fan, but the buffet menu looked good and so most pf us thought we would give it a go. Really pleased that we did, not too much choice (which is good as it meant that is was constantly being replenished), but enough that we got to try more than you norrmally would if you order 1 starter and 1 main. All the dishes were very tasty, the staff were all lovely. Overall we had a great meal and would definitely return.
Buraq – KirkhamIt appeared there were 3 members of staff working front of house and whilst there were all very friendly, the waiting on experience does need some improvement. In my opinion, one member of staff should serve one table, not all different members of staff seemingly not communicating with each other repeatedly coming. In a restaurant like this it is common for customers to order food such as chicken wings or ribs; a finger bowl should be offered. In addition, fresh cutlery should be provided between each course and shouldn’t have to be asked for (twice). With all that said, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was nice, but the background music was a little loud. I would visit again with the hope the service has improved.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWent for Sunday lunch (myself, the missus and youngest lad). We all had the chefs Sunday platter. It was enormous but the quality was quite superb (Honeywell's meat). We got, Turkey, roast beef and gammon, 2 huge slices of each! Unlimited gravy too. Excellent value for money (none of us finished the entire plate but the doggies enjoyed it at home lol!)
The Kingfisher – KirkhamThe service was great. The young lady did everything from serving at he bar, taking our order, serving food and clearing away. The food was very good. It was a shame about the atmosphere as the restaurant was very quiet. The bar and restaurant was so lovely too.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamWe had booked a table for 19:00 and arrived on time. We were asked to wait in the bar area with a drink as the table wasn’t quite ready, although it did not look overly busy. At 19:20 we asked for an update and at 19:30 were told the table would be ready in 5 minutes. At 19:45 we chased again and at 19:50 were apologised to, saying the table was now ready immediately. We asked about the waiting time for food as we did not want to be stuck for another hour after we’d already waited an hour for our table. We were told that they would check with the chef and let us know straight away. At 20:00 we walked out as we still had no update. Also worth noting that the online menu is not accurate - it was confirmed to us that it has not been updated. The menu in the restaurant seemed to have less choices available; for example the salmon is not an option now.
Henry’s Smokehouse – Kirkhamgreat food ,great service ,great portion sizes , highly recomend
