The Villa Country House Hotel – Kirkhamjust to let people know if u have highlife book first even thou it doesn't say in the book we have one and were refused on a Monday night that was very quiet. the funny thing was the owners had been in our restaurant with highlife, not booked and did we refuse NO WE DID NOT
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamBeing a local to the area, I have eaten at this Indian restaurant many times, and it is far one of the best, if not THE BEST in the area/fylde coast. I would not hesitate in recommending the establishment to anyone who has a requirement for excellent food, a large choice of varied strength curries and it has a perfect ambience & general modern decor. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Having read other reviews commenting on the table water not being tap water... If you want tap water, order a take away and eat at home! This is a top class restaurant in all aspects and I would be disgusted if I asked for table water and got tap water. I have never experienced any mistakes or poor quality food, and have always been seated & served in a timely manner. I would rate this indian restaurant 9.5/10... the only draw back being the car park is far too small!
Ashiana Tandoori Restaurant – KirkhamThe new homemade steak pie I have just tried one of the new home made steak pies and can say without a doubt that they are the best steak pies I have ever tasted They are full of real meaty chunks of steak and the gravy is absolutely beautiful. Get yourself down there and try one you won't be disappointed Kev T
Dawsons – KirkhamThere were a few mistakes made by the kitchen. The wrong meal was given to one of our party and part of a dish came out late. However the food was good and the problems were dealt with excellently by the professional front of house team. Therefore i would have no hesitation to recommend the Grapes. Great setting too.
Grapes – KirkhamWent for an early mothers day meal on Saturday just gone and while I had heard/read that the food is good here I was still pleasantly surprised. I ordered the black pudding 'doughnut' for starters and the venison main course and both were really nice, big portion sizes and extremely rich. Everybody else in my party seemed to enjoy theirs too. This is a great traditional pub with good food and good ale. If the chef reads this and you noticed a venison dinner come back to the kitchen unfinished on Saturday evening then that was me, I was just too full to carry on and that is not a reflection on what I thought of the dish (I used to be a chef and know it can be upsetting to see plates with food still on). Marks out of 10?... 8. only because I thought the food was bordering on being too rich. Not been? Give it a go.
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamYou really can't fault the Buraq, top quality food (and lots of it) excellent service and very good value for money.
Buraq – KirkhamThe menu is just superb, service is great. A wide array to tantalize every taste buds. The curries are fantastic and the kebab is scrumptious with massive amount of salad and sauce.
Nile, The – Kirkhamgreat place for eating with friends, relaxed atmosphere, food just wonderful and lots of it, staff very nice and helpful, Go again and again
Buraq – Kirkhamwent there last week with famliy and the food was really nice and the service we got was great, i never really wanted to go top buraq because i thought it will be rubbish but family insisted to go so i went. the food the place, was really good made and soafs great seated. they gave us a smile at the door when we walked in, the food didn't take too long but average as it was busy because of a saturday as expected. but the food was really great the people were really nice and a think people should go there often i would love to go again. they have some good looking workers lol i think they were really fit.....
Buraq – KirkhamThe welcome, service and best of all the great food will always make you want to return for more to this fabulous Thai restaurant. We live a 70 mile round trip away from Orathai but it's well worth the visit and never disappoints.
Orathai Restaurant – KirkhamBoater-friendly pub with huge portions of food, make sure you are hungry when you go for a meal! Great selection of games for kids and adults alike. Nice to have a landlord and lady who are actually interested in building up a pub that is tucked away from the thronging masses. Join the select group that frequent the Hand & Dagger by boat! (Thanks for the protective shoe covers!)
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamEnjoyed a good Sunday lunch at the Villa. Good food and service
The Villa Country House Hotel – KirkhamThe food was absolutely disgusting. The fish and chips was very watery and the pie and mash looked like it had been on a hot plate for hours.the veg looked like it had been stewong all day.Just dont go...................
Grapes – Kirkhamwent to burqah last night, was pleasantly surprised, nice bright modern decor, buzzy atmosphere good service and you get free popadoms!! Had a lamb roghan josh, slightly chewy bit oily but very nice all the same, would eat here again.
Buraq – Kirkhami had a finger nail in my take away
East Ocean Chinese Takeaway – KirkhamWe have been visiting the Lancashire Canal with some friends and have stopped at most of the Pub/Restaurants during our two week trip. The one that stood out to all of us was the Hand and Dagger for service and good English food, all the staff we encountered on both visits were very helpful and this is not the case in many pubs now a days. We found the little pub quaint and the surrounding area was beautiful as the leaves were changing colour and looked wonderful. We had some nice beers and one or two wine more than we should have but we were swept away by the warm and friendly atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamSome friends and I visited the Hand and Dagger on Friday evening and found to our surprise that the place had lots of soldiers in the pub and jeeps and tents in the field. the first thing that we noticed was the pub was busy and everyone was having a great time. We had some drinks and sat down to look at the menu. Straks, mixed grills, 10oz gammons we did not know what to choose. We ordered and very soon we all had some of the finest looking food we have seen, and they where every bit as good as they looked. Soon a Karaoke man arrived and now full of fine food and one or two pints later we settled in for what was a brilliant evening. We had a ball and will be back soon for more of this excellent food and drink.
