A brilliant place. Has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is very tasty and you get lots of it. The wine is superb too. Great value for money.

Lovely place, nice atmosphere and good food.

We recently visited Verses Restaurant and I would firstly like to say that the food was absolutely lovely and the staff were generally very friendly and attentive. However, there was one particular comment that unfortunately left a disappointing impression on what had otherwise been a lovely experience. My 13-year-old daughter ordered the carbonara but was unable to finish it. This was absolutely no reflection on the quality of the food, as she thoroughly enjoyed it. She simply doesn't have a particularly big appetite, and when she's had enough, she's had enough. Unfortunately, when the waiter came to clear our plates, he commented to my daughter, **"Well, this is a shame to waste it."** Whilst this may have been said without any intention of upsetting her, I really didn't appreciate the comment. It was only as we were leaving that I realised just how embarrassed it had made my daughter feel. I feel it's important to bring this to your attention because **words can stay with people, particularly young teenagers who may already feel self-conscious about themselves and their eating habits.** Nobody should be made to feel embarrassed or guilty for not finishing a meal, regardless of the reason. I appreciate that food waste is something restaurants understandably want to avoid, but customers should never feel judged for how much or how little they choose to eat. This review is not intended to take away from the lovely food or the otherwise excellent service we received. I simply hope it serves as a gentle reminder that sometimes even a passing comment can have a lasting impact, especially on a young person. We genuinely enjoyed our meal, but unfortunately this small interaction left my daughter feeling uncomfortable, and that is something I felt needed to be highlighted. We went for lunch at Verdi’s this week. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is set in a lovely location looking out over a pond and is warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend this restaurant, it’s one of the best Italian’s I’ve been to and we will return.

Nice surroundings, good parking options. Our meal was very good and the £18 for three courses was excellent value for money. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Fabulous bar with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic selection of drinks and delicious pizzas. The wine tasting events are brilliant as well.

Amazing food, my husband had the mixed grill, which was complimented by watermelon and feta cheese, delicious.... Great atmosphere and excellent service... Definitely be back soon x.

Prices have shot up recently. I had pollo dianne. I have to say it wasn't up to the usual standard. Not a lot of flavour. Chicken was dry. This is the first time I haven't really enjoyed a meal there.
