Absolutely superb food. We go at least once a month and every time its brilliant.

Every single thing about this meal was perfect. The staff were all really friendly and had great sense of humour even when I referenced our waitress that a guy in the bar had a similar ponytail. She took it really well and the banter from then was fantastic. The food was the best pub food in the area by a mile and the price was great value for such a high standard of quality and service

We booked a table for 6 for a birthday meal. We waited around 15 minutes to give a drinks order and another 10 to do food. We waited 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive, they arrived as the starters were delivered. We waited around long time for the main meal with one served cold, missing a side from another and 1 meal delivered 10 mins after the rest. We had to flag down a server to get cutlery and condiments. Overall disappointing experience, service poor and food very average.

Beautiful setting / lovely views - the food was hot and very tasty and the desserts were lovely too - similar price to other pub venues but food here much better. We visit regularly but it was the first time we had taken my mum and dad. They were very impressed with everything. Highly recommended.

Food was amazing and very nice settings will definitely be going again :)

Sunday lunch is always excellent

Food is very nice but very disappointed that no sunday roast available at 5pm

Lovely place to eat

We had a lovely meal. The steak & Stilton pie was a great portion & very tasty as was the fish & chips. We received friendly & great service too. The Whitchaff is a great place to eat.

Recently had a meal with family, including children. Some children have adult tastes and dont want to eat nuggets etc. Some improvement with the kids menu would be good. Adult meals were ok but I did say the lamb was very fatty, which was evident from what was left on the plate. My meal should also have had butter beans in it and didnt. Top side of value for money Service was also very slow but staff friendly

Our last few visits to The Whitchaff have been ok.No complaints but ok.However this time it was very good.The Chicken fajitas came out of the kichen as they should do.Sizzling away in the pan with the portions much improved.The Gammon dinner was a good hearty meal and plenty of it.Service by the staff was excellent.Keep up the good work folks.

Never fails to impress with the standard of food and service. First class! Perfect for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon before it gets too busy, but still great buzzy vibe at the bar.

Visited sat night at 8pm, could not fault the food it was amazing as was the service but the noise from the bar area completely spoiled the meal for us, eaten there in the week and was blown away, Saturday nights are clearly a drinking place not for a nice meal out, that said I will be back in the week days not sat night

We are people of a certain age and sadly our appetites have declined. The only item on the menu was the chicken liver patè which was divine. The staff and service was outstanding, but please put a sandwich or two on the menu which would be very much appreciated.

Brought my auntie yesterday 11/8/26 for her birthday lunch and we had a lovely meal. We opted for 2 small plates each and it was delicious. We had hot honey, peach, halloumi and Serrano ham salad and tacos which were so tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic meal for 4, wasn’t at all rushed, all staff were super polite and attentive especially Any who was our server, she was humerus and made us feel valued, food was delicious and literally couldn’t fault it Good value for money and will defo return
