Never road a bad meal. Good excellent and a great choice. Recommend the Stilton garlic mushrooms…..delicious
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe visited with 2 of our grandchildren. The staff were very attentive and immediately took our drinks order, while we viewed the menu. The 2 children wanted sausage and mash, but it wasn't on the menu. When the staff returned, I asked if we could have the adults sausage and mash, but split across 2 plates. Immediately he said they could do 2 sausage and mash for children, it would be no issue. The food was hot and tasty. Great decor, great food and great staff. Would highly recommend.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallGreat food, lovely staff. To be accommodated at the last minute was very nice . Thank you. For that ( I think the lady said she was called Helen- thank you) We will return!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallEnjoyable afternoon with a friend, picked off the lunch menu as smaller portions. Food was nice an staff plesant. No push to move us on but we booked an earlier table.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallFabulous food and amazing staff Never had a bad meal
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallStarter’s was nice however the main course was not good enough for the price . Steak was very bad , no taste at all greasy chips and the mushroom was horrible . Steak was cheap and grey and if I had chucked it at the wall it would of made a hole
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallStaff was annoying, always coming to the table every 1 minute not letting you enjoy your meal or drinks . Need to learn to leave customers alone once ordered. As soon as you sat down staff was there in seconds , did not enjoy from start to finish . Will not return or recommend to friends or family.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely pub , traditional place tastefully updated. Excellent food, friendly service and decent beer. Food a mixture of traditional (outstanding pies) and the slightly more exotic.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallFirst time we had all been in a long time, the food was delicious and the staff were very attentive.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe had a lovely meal. Delicious food, well presented and good value for money.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe chose the lunchtime menu as the portions were smaller and a very good price for two courses. Service was good and the meals arrived promptly, hot and well presented. We chose Lasagne, gammon and sausage and mash . The food was excellent and much enjoyed. We had tea and coffee to finish. Disappointingly the cappuccino was just a black coffee with a thin layer of froth. After tasting a few mouthfuls we reported this to the waitress (thinking it may be a machine fault) and later to the manager but no suitable replacement or response was given. That said the food was lovely and we would have left a larger tip if not for the coffee.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallDo not book this restaraunt for a large party!! Booked well in advance for 25 plus 2 babies, for a surprise birthday meal for 5pm, got an email reminder of the booking with message saying we needed to be out within 2 hours of the booking time! Clearly that does not apply to all!! tables were not ready, we had to wait in the cold with 2 babies under a year old, in the beer garden until after 5.30, one table still had people sat at it when we went in, once they had left, the table was not cleaned and dressed, no cutlery, no menus, we had to put the tables together ourselves, the birthday girl was delayed as long as possible , but arrived at 5.35, to chaos. Instead of the lovely birthday suprise we had planned, the first food order was not taken untill after 6pm. To be fair the place is nice and MOST of the food was good, and when the orders were eventually taken service was quite quick, but after speaking since to some of the party, the bills had a 10% service charge added, which some people were told about, but after some asked for it to removed, the rest were not made aware of the charge, and so it was paid without any choice given. The whitchaff must have taken £700 - 800+ from us on sunday,! I know we had young children and they were a little chaotic, but they had been there for nearly an hour and a half before they were given a meal, hardly suprising they got bored. If that size of party was too much. We should have been told when we booked nearly 2 months prior. Very dissapointed overall
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely meal. Impressive service.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallI booked a late Sunday meal - 7:15 - for me and my husband. Our food was lovely: I had a starter of some sort of spicy chicken and a Greek salad with chips; he ordered a panini with chips. The food came promptly, despite the restaurant being busy with a couple of big tables. Initially we were on a table next to a big party. When one of the arm chair tables came free, I asked if we could move - not a problem. I ordered a rose blush wine. When it came, I'd been given a white wine instead. We were served the right wine and then asked if we wanted to keep the white wine too. Customer service at its finest! Although we were one amongst the last people to leave, we weren't made to feel rushed into going.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallThe food was delicious. The only slight problem was the steak and lamb dishes could have been hotter as the meat was warm at best. Was still a good dining experience
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallFantastic service think the waiter less was called Amie - so attentive and friendly.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallThis was the second time dinning at the whitchaff inn and it was fab , just like the first time . The staff are so friendly and make you very welcome and the food is amazing . I had the Gluten free fish and chips and all I can think about is returning and having the same again . They have a really good choice of Gluten free meals on there menu . My partner and I are planning a family meal soon and will be heading back to enjoy the whitchaff again soon
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe came for a family meal to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was amazing, beautifully presented, very high quality ingredients and loads of choice. The waitress was lovely! The only thing I would say was a negative was the noise levels, we booked a table for 6pm on a very busy Saturday and because the whole place was packed out we couldn't really have a conversation properly on our table, but there isn't anything that could be done about that, just a consequence of the number of people in a room with really high ceilings! Would definitely go again but maybe on a quieter night or at lunchtime.
