Nice staff, nice food. Came for dinner on spur of the moment, quiet Tuesday evening. Actually found it quite busy but service really good. Appeared to be just two staff serving/ taking orders/bar etc but they succeeded admirably. Food was really nice, we have eaten a few times before without a problem but friends came a few weeks ago , on our recommendation and they had problems so we have been a bit reluctant to return. Our concerns were misplaced, we had a very enjoyable evening. It was burger night, the tandoori chicken burger was really good, and great value. So pleased that we came back, think our friends must have just caught a bad day.

Booked a Table for Sunday lunchtime for a group of friends after a concert the night before. Booking was easy with great communication from Jamie. Unfortunately two of the party were not well and couldn’t come on the Sunday and another one cancelled last minute, but all the staff were really helpful and understanding. The food was excellent. Four of us had the deli board and there was such a generous helping of everything that we could hardly eat it all. Our table was at the top of the building with good views of the canal and we all really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely book again in the future.

Long and varied menu, 4 of us all had different dishes. Black pudding stack was excellent, as was the gammon. The only slight downsides were, the roast beef was a bit chewy, although diner managed to eat it all. The blush wine was pretty acidic so my wife would try a different wine next time. All in all, a good evening, the staff were all very friendly and efficient

Four of us dined, all enjoyed excellent meals in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely lovely Salmon. Freshly caught that morning from the canal. Only joking. Lovely food and even lovlier staff.

This restaurant has been a favourite of mine for a while. The Sunday menu is restricted but still has plenty of great choices. Two of us chose a Sunday roast, which were lovely. My dad chose a fish dish that was new to us all, it was perfect, he really enjoyed it. The service was excellent. The room was busy, the music loud but when we asked for a move away from a speaker it was organised without fuss. The whole team were lovely from the moment we arrived, 10 out of 10. My only gripe is that the cutlery needs a sharpen :)

Visited on a quiet Friday night. Food was excellent, server was chatty and speaking about how they had been trying my partners sauce in the back?!?! Then we felt like we had been left once we’d decided on no puddings as we were the last table in. Only to find all the staff sat at the bar. Couldn’t fault the food but service needs some work

Dined on Friday with myself , my wife and her sister and husband why were at our Holiday home at Crook o lune Caravan park. Food is top draw there and very reasonably priced.No rush to eat up either. Very dog friendly with a great atmosphere. Staff excellent too. Highly recommended. Were booking again for the midweek offer they have

Four of us had 3 courses. Good choice of meals. Imaginative, well cooked, nicely presented. Did wonder if tikka kebab should have been accompanied by mango chutney, not chilli jam. Very pleasant waiting staff. We are looking forward to coming back. Thanks to all the crew for a nice evening.

Always tasty food at The Sultan!

A really good meal. Good food and atmosphere and the table service was very good, we were well looked after. A small criticism is that on arrival we were a little early so decided to have a drink at the bar. The service was very slow. The bar man seemed to have many things to do on top of serving customers at the bar. With only 2 people ahead of me it took far too long to be served. Everything else was excellent. Thank you.

Second Saturday at this excellent pub. We choose differently to last week & again all choices were excellent. Good portion sizes & restaurant quality. Staff were attentive & very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service from the team at The Station Hotel. The food was delicious with clean plates all round and came out hot even with it being a bigger order of 12 meals. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family!
