We booked the table online via the pub's own website it was booked for 6.30pm, a table for four. When we arrived in the evening at 6.15 pm we were told there was no record of our booking anywhere. Fortunately I had printed out and taken with me the booking confirmation. We received a full apology and indeed given a table. This shows online booking is not reliable. This is the first time I have used it and will go back to speaking to a human being on the phone in future. On the up side, the food was very good the service was even better top drawer service quick efficient and friendly. In a good atmosphere. Would definitely go again. But will phone next time.

Have visited previously so knew it would be great food with great setting and great staff, lovely food and generous portions..will be returning next time in Lancaster

Brilliant meal of great quality ordered the Sunday roast, bit of a small portion, the summer Berry crumble was nice, personally I prefer the crumbed cooked in the oven with the crumble mix browned, the creme anglise was a bit heavy for me I prefer mine lighter not so much like custard. Overall the meal was wonderful and great value. Definitely going there again

Had lunch here last Sunday and couldn’t fault it. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the roast beef dinner was really good. Beautifully presented and excellent value.

Six of us had a get together at The Station, Caton on Thursday night. Had a lovely meal, we all enjoyed our choices. The staff were all lovely and were attentive without being over the top, would definitely recommend

Good range of vegetarian options. We were very happy with our choices. It would be nice if the chef included a veggie option in his specials though. Would also ask that if candles are put on the table that they be lit - it’s our restaurant pet hate. Would definitely go again if in the area.

We needed somewhere to stop on our 1 day return trip to Manchester airport to collect a dog. As we aren't from the area we didn't know there wasn't parking. Food was very good and prompt service. Good price too. If we lived in area we would return. And the biggest plus for us we could take the dog in.

The website does not mention the fact this restaurant is unlicensed. Food quality poor : chutney plate consisted of tinned sauces. Main dishes sauced in a suspiciously similar way, hard to see what lay underneath.

Delicious food, impeccable customer service and a serene atmosphere. I will most definitely return when I visit Lancaster again in the future.

We decided to have a day out in Lancaster a group of 10 my sister in law recommended the Waterwitch to us and were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the service was excellent we will definitely go again thankyou to all the staff yesterday you did a superb job.

Lovely staff, great service and big meals. Decent pub dining that was well priced. Nice choice of ales. The place was spotless. We will be back.

Booked online no problems, was greeted by a lovely young lad (arm in sling) really welcoming showed us to our table. We both had the beef roast dinner, which was lovely,. Service was fantastic. Not long wait time, Will definitely return thanks to all.. Perfect Sunday roast
