Gorgeous poppadoms that melt in your mouth, really tasty garlic balti but perhaps a bit too hot, which we weren't expecting!

The staff and service were excellent. Our meals were amazing, thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Service was very slow, our food arrived 50 mins after ordering a burger and a pizza. Whilst waiting we tried to order another pint and a half of the cask bitter only to be told it was not available due to a cellar problem. The food was tasty and plentiful but the pizza base was soggy and the brioche burger bun burnt on top and dried out so that it was rock hard. Rather a disappointing visit after reading good reviews by other customers. It was a Tuesday evening and the place wasn’t busy.

Service was so poor left before we got our drinks.

Our food on our 1st and 2nd visit could not be falted , however, on our 2nd visit we both chose rump steak for our main course only to be told after 10 minutes that they no longer had any, when I suggested ribeye as a 2nd choice they only had one left, so I chose Chicken Kiev and my partner gammon we waited a further 10 minutes to be told they had no gammon either, so we both went for chicken Kiev the waiter did offer to give us a reduction in the price as he thought to be let down three times was unacceptable. We appreciate its not the fault of the staff so we paid the full price. We booked our meal for 7 30 and we eventually had our food served at 8 50, we chose red wine to have with our steak which we didnt get and we had almost finished by the time the food arrived. All in all the staff were friendly and efficient and food still good

Very impressed with the Bay Horse at Forton! Stylish yet traditional looking pub in a very pretty location. Well drilled staff and the food was spot on. Pub food but in a rustic restaurant style.

Excellent website for booking a table. Clear instructions. Confirmatory email. Unfortunately the Water Witch had had a power cut on the day we visited so it was a limited menu. However the service and choice were excellent.

Popped in (pre-booked) for an early dinner & both service & food great. Will be back again

Came here whilst on holiday in the area, amazing food and atmosphere and loved the fact that they’re dog friendly. Very friendly staff, cannot recommend it enough!

We were welcomed by our names on entry. Every attempt is made to make you feel special. The food service and attention to detail is excellent . The Pork ribs had been cooked to perfection, tender, well cooked and in a sublime sauce. As for the cheesecake. A perfect afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment

Exceptionally delicious food generous portions and the service is excellent. This is our new favourite place to eat. We are wardens on a nearby holiday park and we will definitely be recommending The Lodge to all our guests. The Lodge is truly outstanding in all aspects of hospitality and I am looking forward to visiting again and again.

My partner and I visited the station a couple of times whilst we were on a short break in Claughton. The first visit, was completely off the cuff after we popped into the coop on our first evening. It was close to 9pm and they still accommodated us, me being the extremely fussy vegetarian I was blown away by the choice and selection of vegetarian offerings. When the food arrived, wow we were both completely blown away by the freshness, standard and quality of the food! I don’t often enjoy the food when dining out, and this was the first time in a very long time I enjoyed the food that I had ordered! Everything was perfect! All the staff at the station are such lovely people, the owners are such warm welcoming people. We literally had the best time here so much so we made sure we visited again on our last evening! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We don't live to far away so love to have a drive to the station ...always lots to choose on the menu ...food is always lovely... will be visiting again in a few weeks as always.

It was our first time eating at the Sultan, but it proved to be the best choice that we could have chosen. The welcome by the staff was exceptional, courteous and professional. The service was equally as good. The food was something that neither my wife or myself had. Had before. Both meals didn’t fail us. My wife is vegetarian and rarely finds a lot to satisfy her, but this was very good as indeed was mine. Both my wife and myself would highly recommend’The Sultan of Lancaster’ without hesitation. We live in South Wales, so the next time we are in the area we will certainly take our curry at the Sultan.

Another wonderful evening at the Sultan. Always made to feel welcome by Ash and his team, gorgeous food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Always worth the 80 mile round trip we make to visit the Sultan. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately arrived to find the place all closed due to a power failure. Have visited on previous occasions and been satisfied with the food and drink offering and the service given. However was quite disappointed this time to find it closed up considering we had prebooked and had traveled from the Fylde coast . At no point did we receive correspondence saying that they were closed
