Friendly staff. Nice food. Not licenced but lots of nice drinks. A better quality chutney platter would have made di ner even better. Thank you.

We recently had a meal at the Slyne lodge, on the whole the meal was nice, their were a few hiccups which weren’t resolved eg I had the wings and asked for a finger bowl and the waitress didn’t know what I meant , also I had one of the pizza which had missing ingredients, I did make the waiter aware and their was no resolution just an apology, my son and husband had the homemade scotch egg which they said was amazing , husband had the fish and chips which was nice and son had lodge burger which was also good, puddings very nice.. I would have liked for them to have either offered maybe a voucher 20% next meal or something too encourage a return trip

Booked table online.got there 10 mins early and got seated right away.service was good and the food was amazing..Will definitely be returning and returning

We had lunch at the Lodge, the good was very good and a lovely friendly atmosphere.

We were visiting our daughter who is at the university and found the water witch and decided to go for lunch, It was perfect in every way. The food was tasty, and well presented and also really good value. We could not fault our experience there at all. We will definitely return.

We were taking my son to move into his student house ready for his second year at Lancaster Uni and decided to have a weekend away too. He had been here before so we booked a table for the 3 of us. Excellent food and service and would definitely recommend. It has a great setting and would be even better in the summer. We would definitely go again next time in Lancaster and I'm sure he will be visiting very soon!

On our recent visit we had a fantastic choice of food available and what we chose was truly wonderful. The amazing create your own starter platter was an amazing change as we could choose only what we loved. And as to those main meals, fantastic portions at a fantastic price. A wonderful dining experience that we will do again when we revisit.

We booked the table online via the pub's own website it was booked for 6.30pm, a table for four. When we arrived in the evening at 6.15 pm we were told there was no record of our booking anywhere. Fortunately I had printed out and taken with me the booking confirmation. We received a full apology and indeed given a table. This shows online booking is not reliable. This is the first time I have used it and will go back to speaking to a human being on the phone in future. On the up side, the food was very good the service was even better top drawer service quick efficient and friendly. In a good atmosphere. Would definitely go again. But will phone next time.

Have visited previously so knew it would be great food with great setting and great staff, lovely food and generous portions..will be returning next time in Lancaster

Brilliant meal of great quality ordered the Sunday roast, bit of a small portion, the summer Berry crumble was nice, personally I prefer the crumbed cooked in the oven with the crumble mix browned, the creme anglise was a bit heavy for me I prefer mine lighter not so much like custard. Overall the meal was wonderful and great value. Definitely going there again

Had lunch here last Sunday and couldn’t fault it. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the roast beef dinner was really good. Beautifully presented and excellent value.
