What a lovely french delight. As soon as you enter the restaurant feels and looks like a french bistro. Having the menu on giant blackboards is interestingly different although you may have to strain the neck to read them. This was worth the effort because when the food came it was cooked to perfection. The dishes were not only very french they were also a little different. Most importnatly they were lovingly produced. I could see, smell and taste the effort that had gone into the prepartion and execution. I'll be back

Having eaten here twice in 1 week, I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Martin looks after his cutomers with a level of service that is second to none and Joel's food is just delicious. Wine tasting here is a great experience and the menu is excellent, offering the best carefully sourced ingredients with a heavy German influence. Intimate, friendly, and special. Please go and try it for yourselves.

Warm welcome and excellent food all served here. Far and away the best curry in Leeds!! The kofta special, king prawn madras and mixed chicken chutney are all excellent. This is one place you MUST go if you love curry and live anywhere in or around Leeds. Azram is a real star too!!

Azram’s Sheesh Mahal – Leeds City Centre
Gem

A unique place that offers not only Chinese noodle and rice dishes but also a range of sushi, sandwiches, salads (including a salad bar) and Chinese and English snacks. Great for sitting and sipping coffee and eating Chinese buns at breakfast, tasting sushi at lunch and eating Dragon Rice in the evenings, opening from 8 in the morning until 7 in the evening. As well as this, the company offer a flexible range of buffets for outside catering and this unique range of foods is a great way to entertain clients, party goers and co-workers. You have to give it go!

I've not long returned from a big Stag weekend in Leeds and on the Saturday I started Googling for a pub near our hotel that did decent food. I found an absolute charm. All homemade stuff here, didn't take long to come out, beers we're good and the whole thing cured the first hangover ready for another night of HEAVY drinking. I had Shepherds Pie which was different with crushed potato topping instead of the usual mash and my mate had a chicken and mushroom pie which also looked awesome. Cool pub, recommended!!

Delicious - absolutely delicious, you really should try this place!

The Greek

Went here yesterday (Sunday) and thought the place was great. Chicken was juicy and succulent with just the right amount of spice and heat (I had vindaloo, my wife had madras, both spot-on). Starters were not quite as good, although certainly not rubbish by any means. If anything, the main course was 2 or 3 pieces of chicken short of perfection. Definitely worth visiting. Decor, service and food great. Prices? £20 for two of us (no drinks I do have to say)

The best Chinese in the area!! We are regular customers and the staff are very friendly and they make a fuss of us in a discreet 'Chinese' way. The food is delicious and soooo different to the Cantonese food which we also enjoy.

I have been there twice but never had a good experience. Poor service, waitress was very impatient and carried a non-inviting gloomy expression. Food was overpriced and not up to standard. I ordered the saba(mackeral) teriyaki bento set and it was not good. Batter for tempura was too oily, rice portion too little, salad too sour (soaked in vinegar). Most importantly, the mackeral is not up to a japanese restaurant standard. The mackarel tasted exactly the same as my other friends' dishes which were unaju (grilled eel) and ton katsu(pork). Overall not a good experience and in fact, the worst Japanese restaurant I have ever dined in.

I was very disappointed, food was good but service and attitude of some staff was poor, i had booked a table for valentines night and referred them to sugarvines offer, they did not honour the offer and we were disappointed with their attitude, we had to choose from the a'la carte menu and spent a good deal more than we would have, our main courses were a long time coming and were wrong, they apologized and offered sweets on the house.

Chez Mal Brasserie – Leeds City Centre
Archymandrax

This restaurant isn't in Leeds city centre, it's about 2 miles outside it on the A65 going out of the city. The description is misleading to anyone wanting to combine a meal here with a visit to the shops or theatre.

Came here in a group of six and for a change ordered starter platters as well as main dishes. The starters were absolutely delicious, especially the spicy paneer and tikka fish - the only snag was that we then had less room for the delicious mains. Always a pleasure though.
