I was quite exited by the reviews I had read of Raymond Blancs new eatery in Leeds and so it was with great expectation that I arrived at what is a tremendous looking restaurant, several visits to the Manchester cousin had never disappointed me, Starters were a little pricey and accompanying salad was roughly presented but the Ham hock Pate was Very nice. My wife's Potato Croquettes were also very nice,Seabream followed which my wife enjoyed (a nice portion of fillet guilthead),However my Duck was a great disappointment raw, rather than medium and Cold rather than hot The Restaurant was busy so maybe just an off night but shall maybe stick to the Petit Blanc next time.

One trip to Le Besi will get you hooked, whether you fancy lunch, dinner or just coffee & dessert you will be amazed!! Not only is the food out of this world & very well priced the staff will do their up most to accommodate you. The owner is a friendly man as are all the staff he employs. The Christmas menu looks delicious & we are really looking forward to our office Christmas lunch there, but book early to avoid disappointment!! M'shell :)

Make no mistake about this, La Besi is a hidden jewel in the Leeds restaurant scene. I work very close to the restaurant and commute every week to Leeds. This is now the only restaurant that I would eat at regularly. The care taken over each serving is magnificent and the owner/manager is a fantastic chap. Extremely friendly and accommodating to one and all. If you're in Leeds, forget the flashy restaurants in the city centre and take the time to find this restaurant. You won't regret it.

I have lived in the round foundry for nearly a year and I have just visited this restaurant....What a fantastic place. One of the best meals I have had in Leeds in the 3 years I have lived here.

I have to agree with Natalie. I don't rate Bibi's either. We ate there are part of a large group a couple of months ago and the food was fine, nothing spectacular when you consider the price mind you. It was so crowded that the people on the outside of the group were constantly getting banged into by people squeezing into the non existent gap in between our table and the bar. It's also one of the loudest noisiest restaurant's I've ever been in, we found it difficult to talk which could have been due to our close proximity to the bar. There are n far nicer restaurants with better food and smaller bills than this.

My boyfriend and I visited Chaophraya after reading all the great reviews this place has had and we certainly weren't disappointed! There was a great buzz about the place and although it was busy, service was swift and it didn't feel overcrowded. The food was wonderful - the prawns were huge and everything tasted so fresh and authentic. I thought I didn't really like Thai food until coming here, now I realise that I've just been going to the wrong places! An added bonus is the decor which is tasteful and befitting of a Thai restaurant without being tacky. Overall a fantastic place to eat whether with friends, your partner or the whole family and great value too!

Red Chilli is definitely the place for you if you enjoy great Chinese food. We've been twice and each time the food has been very good, although our only complaint is that nothing on the menu is explained which, given some of the unusual names for many of the dishes, would have helped. This is not your usual Chow Mein or Sweet and Sour type of place! That said, the service is good (a bit like a military operation) and you get what you pay for with the food. Ok, it's not cheap but the dishes are varied and good - the set menus are particularly good as you get such a variety of dishes and they tend to be a bit easier on the wallet overall.

We went with friends this Saturday night and we had heard about Bibis my partner had been before when it was at Greek Street i think and he loved it. We called to book a table and was told no need so we arrived and had to wait 2 hours for a table we would of preferred to book. We had cocktails and champagne had a lovely evening but the down side is that when we got to our table there were so many dishes to choose from and we were rushed into picking our food, however no fault with the food each dish was tasty. I would return but not on a weekend I feel like Bibis is commercialised now and its not all about the food. Never the less we enjoyed the evening and for 4 people we spent around £300.

The best curry house in Leeds. Very good veggie food and meat dishes. Great pint of Tetley's from the Queen pub next door.

I have been here twice and the food is absolutely gorgeous, the place its self is very quirky and goes well with is surroundings, the inside consists of what look likes miss match antique, vintage furniture. the menu is a good choice of old and new food. would highly recommend a visit! i like it so much i am going back my third time.

I discovered Fuji Hiro around three years ago and still eat there three or four times a month. The food is unpretentious and delicious. The owners stick to a smallish selection of what they do best. The Ebi Katsu prawns side dish are sensational. There's a relaxed atmosphere and the owners always look genuinely happy for your custom. Cannot recommend this palce enough and the portions are massive!

Great bar, brilliant music, drinks, bar staff etc. what lets this place down severely are the door men, I have never seen much trouble in here which probably means they do a reasonable job. However, I find them to be rude and offensive when queueing. I have been accused by them of 'causing trouble' in the queue. This was upsetting, embarrasing and blatently untrue. I was never asked to leave the queue but left queueing in the rain for about half an hour only to meet my accusation at the door.... shame. I really like this bar and oporto, but the memory of that night and other stories I have heard leave a nasty taste in the mouth.

we went on 06.09.07,the decor is very nice and the staff and service was top notch. We ordered 3 main courses which were served swiftly. One dish was fantastic but the other two were too salty and very very spicy. We would revisit to try other dishes to see if they are an improvement

Great food and served quickly. I ate here on a recent holiday and was very impressed. There was a lot to choose on the menu, and I opted for the Tom Yum Soup and was not disappointed. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

Probably my favourite restaurant along the whole of the M62 corridor, I frequently make the trip over from Hull to eat here. The atmosphere is just right, the service is attentive, friendly and switched on and the food is fantastic, especially taking into account the extremely modest cost, great value for money! The menu provides some real originality, as do the specials and the food is always top drawer. The bannoffee pie is probably the best I've ever tasted.
